I woke up squeezing my eyes and putting my hand on top them to block the light coming to my eyes. I sat up and shifted in my position resting my head on the headboard. I stood up then did my morning routine.

Stepping in front of the mirror I combed my hair weakly and then shaped it into a bun. I decided to wear just jeans and shirt and I walked into the music room.

Opening the door, all that happened yesterday flashed in my brain and tears pricked behind my eyes, deciding not to cry I shut my eyes and held them back. I moved towards the piano and tried playing on it.....Nothing. I kept trying on and on and on but to no avail, I still decided not to cry but then I couldn't hold it any longer and I let it flow freely.

I quickly remembered about leaving the state so I ran to my room because I had not packed anything. I opened my room door and my heart went soft for just a little when I saw my boxes packed with my clothes. I walked to my wardrobe and I saw nothing, everything was perfectly placed in the boxes.

"Honey, are you in there" Mom knocked gently on my door and all that she had done to me rushed into my mind and my heart turned back to stone for her.

When I did not answer she helped herself in. "Is there any more thing you want to carry along with you" Mom said and I still did not respond.
"And oh! I'm sorry for the piano but we just have to leave it here" Mom said after she had wanted to touch my hand but I shifted before she could.

She just nodded and stood up, she was about to leave when I muttered a small "Thank you" and I quickly walked into the bathroom but I did not miss the smile on her face.

It took me almost an hour in the bathtub, I just kept on thinking about all the things I'd leave behind. After spending few more minutes I walked out and sat down on the bed still thinking. Mom had gone out for some work so I still had a little time to go meet Maddy. Deciding to meet her I wore the same outfit and I took a taxi to her house.

"Hiiiii" she screamed when she saw me and her eyes were red and puffy clearly saying that she must had cried over night. After the screaming she embraced me in a very big and warm hug and I returned it.

"Come in come in" she said while wiping the tears from her eyes. Maddy was on the rich side so her house was very big and beautifully decorated but she was not the sassy one but the kindhearted one.

We went up the stairs to her room and then she burst into tears saying why we had to leave. I did not want to cry so I tried consoling her and tears were threatening to come out but I held back.

After wasting almost a box of tissue she went into her bathroom and washed her face. She looked a little fresher when she came out but the redness was still in her eyes.

"Jenny, did your mom say when you will be back?" she asked anxiety written all over her face.

"No, she didn't mention" pity filling my heart for her as I spoke.

After talking and doing all sort of things for about half an hour I decided to go and hugged her very tightly and told her she could call me anytime

I left her house took a taxi and went back to my house , mom wasn't home yet so I took a last tour of our home and remembered all the memories I actually had here in this house. I went to all the rooms except one which was the music room.

I could not hold the anxiety any longer and I walked to the music room. "Jenny, be quick I'm back let's begin the journey" Moms voice reached my ear and I forgot about the door and went straight to my room to bring my luggage.

Mom sat on the driver seat and I settled myself in the passenger seat. I took one last glance of the house and sighed heavily. Mom revved the engine and we were on our way to New York.
...

We stopped at a narrow road which contained nice houses and some a little rugged.

Mom was sitting at the left side which was the driver seat and I on the passenger's. I came down first and I was stunned at the beautiful and elegant house standing in its full glory  in front of me.

I walked to the gate and stopped when mom's voice reached my ears.
"That's not it" she said moving her head side by side.

She did not need to tell me due to our car standing between the glorious house and one of those rugged houses but this one looked a little better than the ones I saw.

I just looked at her in a disappointed way and also in a questioning way.

"Look I couldn't afford the bills for that big house I just couldn't" she said and I understood inside but I did not show it and just carried my luggage and walked past her into the house.

She came in after me and took me around the house, though it was little it was actually cozy and well kept. It had a kitchen which connected to the living room, the dinning room was in one corner of the house and had a six sitter setting. She took me to my room and left.

"Hmmmm" I sighed heavily as I put my hand into the pocket of my jeans and stretched a little. The room was painted in pink on like the other parts of the house which was grey so I figured mom must have had it painted, it had a bed which apparently could contain only a person and a closet with a reading table at the extreme close to the window. I walked to the other door in the room and saw the bathroom.

"This is going to be a hard one" I said to myself as I was leaving the bathroom.

I unpacked my clothes into the closets and put every other thing in order. I moved towards the bed and sat on it shifting awkwardly trying to find a comfortable spot. It was nothing like my other bed which was soft and big.

I picked up my phone and texted Maddy that we have gotten here and settled down a little.

"That's good" she replied immediately with a smiley emoji but I knew that was not her emotions right now. We texted a little more and I slept off unknowingly.

The smell of spaghetti and a knock on my door woke me up. I stretched and rolled a little on my bed.

"Ouchhh" I screamed as I landed on the floor. I felt a sharp pain on my back and I tried reaching there to massage it.

"Honey, are you okay" Mom said in a worried tone as she helped massage the place on my back I couldn't reach. I closed my eyes as mom did the magic with her hands.

"I'm fine mom" I said pushing her hands away from my back when I had realized.

She did not push further and told me to come down for dinner. I walked into the bathroom and freshened up.

I settled myself at one end of the dinning table and was scrolling through my mobile. Mom put the food in front of me and I chucked my phone into my pocket.

I closed my eyes in pleasure as I tasted the heavenly taste of the food. I nearly moaned but I shut my mouth and cursed myself inside.

Mom sat at the other end of the table and we enjoyed the meal in silence, the only sound that could be heard were the movement of our mouths.

I finished my food first and I walked upstairs muttering a small "Good night" before I left her site.

I did not bother having my evening bath and I walked towards the window to receive some air.  I stood there motionless as I watched a figure
doing some exercise surely a man figure, I kept on looking for about five minutes until I realized myself and drew the curtain.

Settling on the bed once more I pulled out my mobile from my pocket and replied Maddy. We talked for few minutes and I greeted her "Good night."
