I had skipped and denied the plea of Katty to come over so that we could finish the summary of The Awakening but today she was coming by force.

I left the room a bit untidy and came downstairs to see mom but she wasn't there. It reminded me of what happened yesterday night, she was all so quiet and did not say anything at all throughout dinner.

I was hoping I wasn't the cause of it because I'd apologized and was ready to give us a chance at a true relationship.

I turned around and ascended the stairs. I slightly opened mom's door and she was there sitting on her bed.

"Good morning" I said in a low voice as I noticed the bag under her eyes and also the redness of her eyes.

"Morning" she said in a way lower voice than mine. She wanted to keep it straight without talking much so I informed her about Katty.

"We have a project to submit this Friday so Katty is coming over" I told her and she just nodded.

"Ookay" I said quite shocked by why she didn't want to talk or say a thing. I went to my room and started clearing up.

Since mom wasn't going to talk or do anything I came down again and entered the kitchen to make us breakfast.

I prepped the things needed for making omelet then started making it. I inserted the bread into the toaster and continued on the omelet.

When I was done I poured the coffee into two cups and carried a plate of what I'd made into mom's room. As I came in she didn't even look at me but still I dropped the plate on the desk next to her and exited the room.

Carrying my own plate of food I entered my room and sat on the bed. Taking a bite of the toast some thoughts entered my head.

All these years I'd been so rigid with mom, it was because of how she neglected me but now she gave me all the love I'd ever wished for.

When I saw her cry in the car my heart melted, I wanted to be good with her so I can make up for all those times I'd been angry.

According to mom, she had sex early with dad and gave birth to me and then Dad totally rejected the baby. I'd not really seen him but I knew he existed and I'd never want to see him.

But something was off, if according to mom, dad was a rich person and he rejected the baby why would he ever give us the big house where we were living before.

For an unknown reason I wanted to check out who Thomas Grey was, yes of course I knew his name.

I carried the plate and kept it on the desk and then stood up, got my laptop. I clicked on Google and then searched the name "Thomas Grey."

It was loading and when it was about to show I heard a large knock on the door and that frightened me a little. I closed the laptop kept it then went downstairs to check the person.

"This time around I'm not hearing your nonsense we are working on it" Katty said as she barged in to the house.

"Ookayy" I said slowly trying to get why she did that but I totally understood.

"That's good, now let's go" she said and climed the stairs and straight into my room.

She was all angered up and determined for us to finish this, she had never gotten a low grade and not because of me she would.
