*Jacobs POV*

She stands infront of me, the Cullens surrounding her, each protecting her. Its easy to see the expression on her face. She upset. Scared. And worried.

I could always tell when she was worried. It was the same expression as her confused face. Her eyes would narrow, and a crease would form in her brow.

She did it back then, and she still does it now; a year later.

"Bonnie." I say, taking a step forward. She just looks to me, tears in her eyes. Without saying a word, she spins on her heel, and bursts between the Cullens, and out of the crowded room. All eyes are on me, and one set in particular is noticable.

Edwards.

He looks confused. And angered. I cant blame him. Nobody really knows how I now Bonnie but me and her... and Michael did of course.

I make tracks after her, until I reach the Cullens. Rosalie steps infront of me, fire in her eyes.

"Dont even think about it, dog." She spits low enough so the humans cant hear. She places her hand on my chest, blocking my path.

"Move." I spit back throwing her hand down.

"Move again, and I will not hesistate to drop kick you infront of these humans. I can compel every one of them." She hisses. "So pay your respects, or get the hell out."

"Fine." I spit, taking a step back. " But I want to see her later."

She just stares daggers in me, as the room resumes to the quiet hum of conversation. When I look to fined Edward, I cant see him. He must have slipped out to go to Bonnie.

I wish I could. I have so much to tell her. I have so much to give my sympathies for. But mostly, I have so much to apologies for.

*Bonnies POV*

I didnt really know were I was running to. I just took off up the stairs, around the corner, past my bedroom, and somehow I found myself in the piano room. I couldnt stop crying. My heart was pumping, and I couldnt control my breathing.

I sink agains the wall, and fall to my butt, huddling my knees to my chest, weeping.

I cant believe he's back.

This isnt happening. It cant be happening.

"Bonnie." Edwards soft voice speaks. I look up, from my knees, and see him, watching me. He comes over, and kneels in front of me. "Talk to me. What has he done?" He mentions Jacob with an extreme sense of familiarity. I look to him confused.

"You know Jacob? I croak.

"Yes." HE says, with slight anger in his eyes. "My father has known his father, for years. But I wouldnt exactly say we were family friends."

Im confused by his answer. HE knows him, but he doesnt want to? I wonder why. I'll find out after. Im not exactly in the mood for prying.

"Did he hurt you?" He asks, angered.

"No." I say immediately, trying to calm Edward down. I place my hand on his thigh and pull myself around to be on my hunkers. I grab his hand, in an attempt to calm him. "I just... I knew him, a while ago."

"So why are you so upset by his arrival?" He asks in a tone I've never heard before. I dont like it. Its like he's angry with me again.

"Jacob and I used to be close." I say in a small voice.

"How did you know him?"

"I met him in the beach one day, down in La Push. It was three years ago. Michael stole som money from my dad, and he got us bus tickets to go to La Push, for a day at the beach. When I was there, I met Jacob. Michael really hit it off with one of his friends in particular, a young guy, about my age; Seth, I think."

Edward watches me closely, as I talk to him.

"We went swimming, and Jacob seen bruises on my arms and legs. He asked me several times what happened, and I kept telling him I fell. It was clear he didnt believe me. Before we left, he gave me his number; and told me to call if I ever 'fell' again."

"Did you call him?" He asks.

My tears had dried up, by now, but when Edward said this, they started to pour.

"Yes. That night." I choke. "At a pay phone, down the street." I dont even know why I am crying, but I cant stop.  "Dad found out we took the money, and beat us to a pulp. I ran out, and to a payphone. I sat there for hours. I dont know why, but I told him everything." I failed to tell Edward that my father raped me, so I couldnt mention it now. "He was the one person, who wasnt Michael I trusted."

"He would come up to Forks to visit me. He said his dad was friends with-"

"Chief Swan." Edward interrupted.

"Yeah." He really does know this family well. "We would go to the diner, and sit for hours, whilst Michael worked. We were really close in the last few months, before he left." I could see the pain in is eyes when I said how close we were. He knew what I meant when I said close. Jacob meant so much to me. HE was my first real friend. My first boyfriend. My first kiss.

"So, what happened?" He looked genuinely intrigued.

"I dont know." I weep. "He just stopped." I look down, upset. Edward holds me, comforting. "HE stopped calling. Stopped visiting. He stopped helping. HE left"

He hugs me as I cry. "Edward, he knew what I was going threw, he knew what Michael and I was going threw. He knew he was a help. But he just stopped. He just disappeared Edward, when I needed him." I wail.

"You dont need him know." Edward says sternly, as I cry into his chest. "You have me, and I love you. And I will never leave you."

*Jacobs POV*

"Please." I plead to Carlilse softly. We are standing in the kitchen alone, and I am begging him to let me see Bonnie.

"Jacob, she is upset-"

"Because of me." I interven, "So I can make it stop. I just want to apologise. Please." I beg.

"I'll have to check with Edward." Carlilse says.

"What?" I ask, confused. "Why would you ask him?"

Carlisle looks at me, with an expression I can read as clear as day.

"You have got to be kidding me!" I laugh sarcastically. "Edward and Bonnie?" I ask, fitting the pieces together.

Calisles look confirms my thoughts.

"Are you serious? He's like, a million years old!" I spit, slightly enraged. "How could you let this happen?"

"Edward loves Bonnie-" Carlisle tries to say.

"Do you have any idea how dangerous this is? Shes fifteen. And he's a vampire." I run my hands threw my hair in frustration.

"All due respect Jacob, but you dont really have a say in Bonnie's life anymore." He says calmly.

"Excuse me?" I spit in anger.

"Not since you left her, last year."

"How did you-"

"Bonnies upstairs right now, telling Edward the whole story. I can hear it perfectly. How you met her. How you were her first kiss. How you left her. How she needed you. All of it."

I feel sick at the sound of it all. He's right. She needed me, and I left her.

"PLease." I beg. "Just let me see her. Go and get her"

"No need. Shes standing behind you." Carlisle says. I turn slowly on my heel, to find Bonnie and Edward standing arm in arm my the doorway. Her eyes are bloodshot and swollen. Shes been crying hard.

"Bonnie." I breathe, a slight smile on my face. She looks up to Edward, who is watching her closely.

"Its okay." She smiles half heartedly. With a look of somewhat fury, Edward releases her, and kisses her head softly, before staring daggers into me. Ushered by Carlisle, they leave. Now its just me and Bonnie alone.
