"Give him a raise." Yoongi spoke through the recorder, smirking to himself, before clicking the button with his thumb.

He hit play, listening to his own staticky voice to make sure it was believable enough. Once deemed passable, he placed the device back in Hoseok's work bag and checked back on the sleeping exister.

The paranormal investigator hugged a pillow to his bare chest. He somehow discarded his shirt while the ghost was busy recording showbiz evidence.

Yoongi was most definitely not complaining.

Knowing the younger would be fine by himself for the rest of the night, the white-haired male disappeared.

It seemed that recently, every time Yoongi headed home, he dreaded interacting with his only friends.

This time was no different.

The ghost entered his own living room, already seeing his best friend on the couch which was expected of him.

"Don't start. I already know what you're gonna say. Yoongi, where have you been?!" The shorter mocked, Seokjin clenching his jaw, clearly not amused.

"You're wrong actually cuz I already know where you've fucking been." The raven head hissed, walking closer to his friend.

Yoongi widened his eyes before a glare took over his features. "What the hell's that supposed to mean?"

"I followed you—"

"YOU FOLLOWED ME?!"

"I DID AND I SAW YOU WITH THAT EXISTER, YOONGI." Seokjin yelled.

This was definitely not what the shorter male expected to come home to.

He expected a civilized, heart-to-heart talk with his best friend that would've ended with a hug which he would of course act like he didn't want but deep down did.

This was way worse.

"What exister?" Yoongi gritted through his teeth. Playing innocent was probably a losing tactic but he knew that he had nothing else to lose anyways. Seokjin always had his ways.

"Cut the bullshit, Min." The taller scoffed. "You were too busy ogling the damn guy to even notice me hiding in the bathroom. YOU EVEN CUDDLED UP TO HIM WHILE HE WAS SLEEPING!"

"Okay, fine!" The white-haired male admitted defeat, sighing to himself. "So what if I was with a liver? What the hell's wrong about that?"

"Everything, Yoongi." Seokjin poked the younger's shoulder, Yoongi scrunching his face with irritation. "He's alive and you're dead. You're clearly starting to have feelings for him too."

"Maybe I am." The shorter rolled his eyes. "It's not like I'm gonna end up killing myself if things don't work out. This isn't Romeo and Juliet. I wouldn't even be able to kill myself if I wanted to."

"That's not the point." The older sighed, feeling like he's only repeating himself like a broken record. "You're falling for someone that's alive, Yoongi."

"Isn't that like... the whole point?"

"NOT WHEN YOU'RE DEAD!" He was so close to choking the male to his second death that he had to keep his fists balled up to stop himself.

A knock from the front door interrupted their little argument, startling the two ghosts.

Seokjin looked towards Yoongi with a raised brow. It couldn't have been Taehyung or Jungkook, his boyfriends were busy playing Mario Kart upstairs.

"Uh... come in?" The shorter ghost voiced out, unsure.

The doorknob twisted and a pair of heels clacked agains their wooden flooring. A middle-aged woman entered their living room with her short, dark hair in a neat bob cut and a tight-lipped smile taking over her porcelain skin. Yoongi would've guested that it was meant to be warm and welcoming but due to the circumstances, it was kind of creepy.

"Yoongi Min and Seokjin Kim, if I'm not wrong?" The lady asked, clasping her hands in front of her.

In the five decades of spending their deaths in their shared household, they had never come across another ghost— that is, of course, if she was even a ghost— so this was kind of a terrifying experience.

It didn't help that she was dressed in a nicely-ironed, black pencil skirt and a grey blazer over her white blouse. It made her petite frame look more intimidating that it should've been.

Finally, someone had to speak up.

"Um, I'm sorry. Who are you?" Seokjin questioned, knowing him and his friend shared the same thought.

"Oh!" She widened her eyes in realization. "I should've introduced myself first."

With a grin, she reached her arm out, offering a handshake.

"I'm Doori."
