Winter's pov

I felt anger rise in me again. Kaia had never liked Summer. She said Summer is too mischievous and vain. What is so vain about drinking water? I do not know.

I started  breathing heavily and felt jeopardy on its way. Helix rubbed my shoulder and reassured me that everything was going to be fine because we would stop this. My breathing went back to normal and jeopardy subsided. Helix, Summer, Axel, my mum and my dad had always been able to calm me down when jeopardy was coming.  They just had an effect on me.

"When are my dad and Kaia arriving?", I asked.

"Tomorrow morning and they will pick you up in the evening. I am still not happy. Wait! You still have your phone! We can text each other!", Summer said excitedly.

I nodded in response, sad that I was leaving already. Summer knelt down in front of me.

"Hey. Do not be sad. We have two months left right? We have loads of time.", Summer said.

Before I could reply, I heard my name being called from downstairs. Summer escorted me down and we found Kaia and my dad standing there with smiles on their faces.

"We came to get you a bit early. Better home than this drastic house. We also fixed your bedroom door so you can get in without your wings. Come to mama!", Kaia said with her arms held out for a hug.

I ignored this, looked at my dad who looked extra tired, probably because of balancing his work and Kaia's  'can you do this for me? thanks hun' s. I walked back up stairs and packed my stuff roughly. I bid goodbye to Axel and Helix then walked back down the stairs.

I hugged Summer and told her to text me when I felt her be pulled away from me. Kaia had pulled her away and sanitized her hands almost immediately.

"Don't need that hideous demon stench on your wonderful clothes do we? You must be Summer's mother, I can tell with your wrinkles.", Kaia said as she threw her wipe on the ground.

Dad was being awfully quiet. Summer's mum smirked then replied in a mimicking of Kaia's voice.

"Sorry, I didn’t realise wrinkles were catching. I must have gotten them from you.", said Mrs. Synthesis.

Kaia scoffed then dragged me outside. I waved at Mrs. Anderson as she smiled and waved back. On the way home, I was very silent. When we were about twenty minutes away from home, Kaia started talking again.

"I think that house has given me nausea. That woman was horrible don’t you think?", Kaia started.

"Don’t talk about Mrs. Synthesis that way.", I said calmly.

"What was that Win?", Kaia asked with one eyebrow up.

"Do not call me Win. Only people dear to me can call me that. I said. Don’t talk about Mrs. Synthesis like that. She is kind, caring, passionate, friendly, beautiful and bold. When my mother passed, she was there for me and now I can consider her my own mother. You are just some stuck up woman who married my dad and who is legally my mum but not to me. Mrs. Synthesis is better and more of a mother to me than you ever will be.", I said before looking out of the window.

"Excuse me?", Kaia said looking angry.
"You heard me.", I said.

Kaia began tormenting me with her 'life lessons' about how 'hard she works' to give me the life I deserve yet she doesn’t have a job. Dad is the one who should be saying that.  He works two shifts to have decent income while Kaia sits down all day watching TV that my dad paid for. The least she could do is clean. But no. I have to do that.
When we got home, I grabbed my bag and went straight to my bedroom

I actually really liked writing this. I don't like Kaia. Do you?
