11- Friendship Blasted

"Sura! Wait!" Esme yelled out, they were about to go to work and Sura was stopped by his wife.
"Why don't we invite Emma for dinner tonight?" She asked in a light hearted tone. Sura smiled and he replied
"I have therapy today so I might be a bit late. But of course! What about Adalyn?" Esme looked at him and she replied

"I asked her, but she said that she had a lot of stuff happening, but Emma said she could make it!"

Sura chuckled and he said "alright then. I'll be home at seven." And they kissed each other goodbye.

"So Sophia, why do you want me to go to the park with you after school?" Adalyn asked as they were walking down the halls, it was lunch time. So most of the kids were in the cafeteria eating.

"Me and you aren't as close as we used to be." Sophia said.

"So I figure we could just hang out at the park."

"Which one?" Adalyn asked curiously.

"The one in the down town!" Sophia answered excitingly

"The one with the river in the middle and there's buildings outside of the park? It's basically in the middle of everything?" She asked for confirmation.

"Yep!" Sophia chuckled. and they both made they're way to the cafeteria.

Kaja was cleaning the house, she was almost finished until she head Ioa call her

"Psst. Kaja!" Ioa whispered loudly, Kaja turned over and asked her what she wanted.

"I have to tell you something!" Ioa said in a tone that was apparent that she needed to tell her something. Kaja stopped what she was doing, and she walked over to sit down with Ioa at the kitchen table.

I took a deep breath in and started to explain to Kaja what I had over heard at the supermarket yesterday.

"I was getting some groceries from the store. I was in the food isle and was grabbing stuff, and I heard two people talking about Annie Moore. You know who I'm talking about right?" Ioa stopped to ask Kaja the question.

"Yeah... why?" Kaja asked confused

"So the boy who was talking said that he did research about her. She was apparently involved in a killing spree in 1989. The town tried to keep it secret, and there were very few articles about the whole thing. There was a sketch that leaked on the internet about what she had saw, and the mask she described is identical to the Luttons mask. The killer was never caught apparently, and people are saying that the killer from back then could be back."

Kaja looked at her in confusion and shock, and she told Ioa something she wouldn't expect

"I- I know about the case." Kaja said, as if she was trying to regain her memory. Ioas eyes widened and she said
"What? You do?" In an unexpected tone

"Yeah, my mom knew Annie's parents. Even though i never met her since i wasn't born at that time, my mother told me they were always... shady. As if they were hiding something. But I hadn't heard about the killings, my mom told me they just suddenly moved out."

Adalyn and Sophia were sitting on a bench at the park, the scenery was nice as they sat in front of the lake and watched the ducks flow in the river, they threw bread in there as a way to feed the ducks, and they were overall having a peaceful and good time.

"So what did you have to tell me again?" Adalyn asked curiously and in a slightly confused tone. Sophia replied to her as she was reminded about what she had wanted to tell Adalyn

"Oh! I completely forgot to tell you!" She said in an excited tone.

"So I haven't been talking to people much since I'm really busy at rehearsal for the play, I got a lead!"
