"Okay, I'm not going to lie to you, but this is a bit uncomfortable," Maya said and Josh looked at the young girl. "I saw you were uncomfortable in the restaurant. What's up?" Josh asked handing Maya a cup of coffee.
Their dinner was okay and Maya was able to talk to Josh but after about 30 minutes Josh could see the young girl was extremely uncomfortable and decided to rather take her to his apartment for coffee. He couldn't see if it did make the girl less or more anxious but was hoping to find out soon.
"My father used to hide me away when we had guests. Said that a girl like me belongs in her room behind the doors and not in front with important guests which made no sense since even when my uncle came to visit they hid me. It contributed to the addiction and later on I had to stop myself from... Never mind," Maya said as Josh looked at her. "What, Maya? What is it?" Josh asked and Maya looked at him. "I had to stop myself from suicide," Maya said and Josh looked at her.
