This book is rated PG 13 because of alcohol and drug addiction.
Maya looked out as she was just catching her breathe before she had to go in to see the lawyer.
Something she would never get used to was seeing Colton after their grandmother.
It felt wrong seeing him after she got the house.
"And if you're out here?" she heard about a voice and exhaled.
"Dr Matthews," Maya said and Josh smiled.
"Think Josh is okay. What's wrong?" Josh asked.
"I got to go and see the lawyer about the house. I'm having trouble with that. After my addiction I never thought I would drift away from my family. Colton is furious because I got the apartment and my mother wants me to come back because she can't deal with me father. How many times have I been torn down by that man and now she..." Maya said and suddenly stopped.
Tears were streaming down her cheeks and she had tried to calm herself down but she couldn't.
Josh exhaled as he pulled Maya close to him trying to calm her down.
He could see the girl was vulnerable but not how vulnerable.
