Nothing.
That's what Jungkook felt.
Nothing with a hint of guilt. He should have stayed. He should have talked it out with him. Is he there because of him? If he wasn't so damn afraid this would have never happened.
He ran down the pale halls of the hospital. His combat boots stomping on the tile floor. Panting and a wild look in his eyes, thoughts raced through his mind.
"Jungkook."
When he reached the outside of Taehyung's room, he was greeted by six people. Terror in their eyes, too. "What happened? Is he alright? Is he stable? What the fuck happened to my Taehyung?" He kept asking Namjoon questions, not even giving him a chance to process one before another was asked. He was so caught him in his fears of Teahyung dying on the hospital bed, he didn't realize he said my Teahyung.
"Jungkook-" Namjoon placed his hands on the boy's shoulders. His eyes were rimmed red and the dark circles under his eyes proved he was just as worried, "He was found unconscious in the bath. The water was ice cold and he was pale with blue lips. He barely had a heartbeat-"
"Stop!"
He pushed him away, tears started to fall down his rosey cheeks. This can't be happening.
"It isn't your fault," Yoongi tried to console him.
"It is!" Jungkook admitted. His voice broke and others in the hall started to stare. But he didn't notice. All he could think about was how Teahyung was probably dead because of him.
"No it isn't," Jimin softly said. Being the ray of comfort he was. "You just found out. How could this have been your doing?"
Jungkook shook his head. He couldn't say it. He couldn't say he kissed him. He was the one who wanted to forget. If he confessed to his actions, would Taehyung be here? Barely breathing and nearly dead. "You don't understand!"
Namjoon looked away, trying to give Jungkook his own space. The young boy slide down against the wall, sobbing. Jimin and Hoseok sat down next to him, holding him in his arms. Y/n and Namjoon followed the other two's example as he sobbed into his hands.
Seokjin kept his gaze on the door. And Yoongi kept his gaze on Seokjin.
When they first met, Yoongi instantly gravitated to him. Seokjin being his only hyung, he felt freer around him and showed his more baby side. He didn't feel the need to be a role model like he did around the rest when they were with him. Yoongi looked up to Jin as a child looks up to their mother. He always put himself last when they needed something. He felt like a brother that doubled as a mother to them all.
Because Yoongi looked up to him so much, he knew when something was wrong. The fact that we wasn't comforting Jungkook meant something had happened. Something really, really bad.
"Jin Hyung," Yoongi said, gathering the older's attention. He gestured his head away from the others, saying they need to talk.
The blond boy got up and followed the other.
"What's wrong?" Yoongi asked.
Jin's face remained cold and emotionless, "Nothing."
"Bullshit," Yoongi claimed, "Jungkook is around that corner crying his eyes out. Blaming himself over Teahyung. Taehyung is unconscious in the emergency room with hyperthermia and we're not allowed in to see him. Why are acting like this?"
He didn't answer.
"Answer me!"
He sighed, "If Jungkook says its his fault there has to be a reason. And if it is, should we really forgive him? Teahyung could die tonight. I'm worried about that. I'm not going to comfort Jungkook until he tells us why it's his fault."
Yoongi scoffed. "What the fuck? 'Should we forgive him?' Yes! We should!" He was yelling at this point, "If it is his fault, can't you see the regret he's feeling? The boy can't even talk he's consumed with guilt!" His stared at the actor with a face of disbelief, "You really think Jungkook made him do it, don't you?"
Jin nodded.
"When has he ever hurt us!?" Yoongi yelled. He knew the other's could hear him and those passing by tired to not stare. But he didn't care. He was in disbelief that the person who would say Hyung will do it when they needed help was believing Jungkook intentionally hurt Taehyung. "He's in shock! We all are! You know how close they are!"
Jin kept silent.
Yoongi followed his example, not wanting to waste his breath if he couldn't see what was wrong.
"You never really know a person until they hurt someone, Yoongi."
Yoongi looked away, panting and out of breath from yelling at the other. "I can't believe you right now."
The only sound was that of people walking by and the distant sound of families crying.
Yoongi shook his head and began to walk away, "I can't believe I ever looked up to you."
When he was gone, Seokjin let the tears run down his face and slide down the wall. He couldn't lose them. He knew his change of personality would have an effect on the others. But what is more important, keeping his self found family or protecting himself?
Dragging himself farther down the hall, he entered the bathroom and locked himself in a stall.
He pulled down his long sleeve, revealing the dancing red lines on his arm. He started hit himself. The cuts stung but he didn't care. He wanted it.
"Will you save me this time?"
