Chapter 17

I woke up to mine and Barry's alarm going off. I groan and turn it off. I get up and dress in a black loose shirt with blue skinny jeans and black pumps I put my hair in a high ponytail and put on natural make up. I grab my phone and purse and head down stairs.

I make my banana pancakes and me and Barry eat. Once we are done we wash the dishes and brush our teeth and leave. We go to CCPD and Captain David looks at me and hugs me, Joe come up and gives me a hug. I go Barry's lab and do some work.

I get called down to the main lobby for a sketch. Once I am done me and Barry got to STAR labs and try to find Betts Ann Suesy. "Barry at a warehouse just out side of the city." Cisco said. Barry left and soon came back with her. I walked up to her and gave her some black gloves. I smile at her. "Hi my name is Arabella." "Hi. So he told me that you guys can help me?" She said pointing to Barry.

Caitlyn came in. "Yes but I will have to do some tests my name is Caitlyn by the way." She nods and leaves. Barry get's a phone call and has to leave. Cisco comes up to me. "So I did an upgrade to your suit. Come with me." He grabs my hand and we walk to his workshop.

I see my suit in it. "Cisco what did you do to it?" "Well Felicity gave me some dwarf star aloe and I put your suit in it. So if you get punched it won't hurt you and I put extra on your stomach. I also installed a mask to protect you from smoke. So you can go in the fire and help save lives instead of watch from the outside cause what's the point in that?" I smile. "I love it Cisco." I give him a hug.

"Yea I wanted to protect my god daughter or god son." "I love you so much Cisco." he hugged me tightly and we leave and he put's my suit in my room attached to the Cortex. I see Caitlyn pull out a tracker out of Betts arm she turns to us wide eyed then the alarms go off. We look at the security camera and see General Esling in the elevator with some army men.

Dr. Wells tells us that we need to get out of here and to the abandoned plane strip thingy. We bring stuff Betts can blow up and Cisco is really excited. Once we get there we set everything up and she starts while Cisco jumps up and down in excitement. Caitlyn checks her vitals and she is all good. After a while we head back and Caitlyn runs the tests and stuff.

Barry had to leave again and once he came in he saw all out faces and knew something was wrong. "What's wrong?" "Caitlyn was about to tell me some not so great news." Bet says. "So it looks like the particles have bonded with your cells on a cellular level." "The technology to get rid of your power has not been invented yet. I am so sorry." Bet had tears in her eyes. "Ok I will go don't worry I think I can cry without blowing stuff up." She storms out and Barry tried to reason with everyone that she can join the team.

"Barry you have speed. I have fast reflexes, she blows stuff up." I said gently. "She is the first meta not hellbent on destroying the city or wanting to kill people." I sigh. "Yes we know this Barry but what is she going to do on this team? I dont want her to leave just as much as you but the army is gonna go at any lengths to get her it's a danger to all of us here." I said. Dr. Wells left talking to Bet. "Especially since I am pregnant Barry think about this. Bett or the baby." I said.

"You want me to choose between my child and Bet who has very powerful people trying to use her?" He asked shocked. "Yes. I dont want her to leave but Barry you have to remember that I am very fragile and stressed right now. I dont need or want to worry about the damn army after us." I said. Cisco and Caitlyn watched. "She is right Barry. You have to choose. The baby or Bett. She us fragile and she needs you more than ever." Caitlyn said.

"I choose you Arabella." He said not even a second after she finished. "Good but I am sorry about her. I really am Barry." He walks to me and puts his arms on my shoulder rubbing them. "I know you are." He kissed me quickly and left. I turned to the others and smiled. "I still got my charm." They laugh. We went out to the Cortex. "Arabella we need to meet Iris at Jitters in disguise again. She pit her name on her blog now." Barry said coming in. I gasp and stand up quickly.
