Chapter 9

I wake up sometime later and the clock said that it was 10. I didn't care if I was late to work. I sigh and wake Barry up. "Barry it is a little passed 10 get up." I hear him groan and I laugh. I get up and go to the closet I choose a long sleeve crop top that has thin black straps and some dark blue jeans I put on some converse and keep my hair down and wavy. I had on natural makeup. I put my phone in my pocket and grab my purse. I put my suit in Barry's bag.

"Wanna go to Jitter's?" I asked him when he came down stairs. "Yes." I nod and walk out I lock the door since he gave me a key. We walk out to the street and into Jitter's. we wait in line. "We need to talk to Dr. Wells when we are done. I whisper under my breath. He nods and we order some food and drinks we walk out eating our stuff and walk to STAR labs. "Miss Smith Mr. Allen your late." Dr. Wells said. "sorry we had to get up real early this morning to deal with superhero stuff." He nods his head.

"Dr. Wells when I was at the fire I wished that I had more strength to help Barry and a boy and as soon as I was done it felt like it was light as a feather after trying for a while. And when I was helping people get out I wanted to run faster and suddenly I was out side but it wasn't as fast as Barry runs it was just fast enough to get out of the building before it fell." Dr. Wells looked surprised.

"Ok I want you to train and do stuff like that today." I nod. "I have to go tp CCPD first." Dr. Wells nods and Barry picks me up and runs to CCPD. We go up in his lab and I help him with some work. After and hour and a half I had to do a sketch and soon enough we went to STAR labs. I changed into some gym clothes and did what Dr. Wells told me to, but it didn't work. I walk out of the training room out of breath.

"It probably only happens when I am in danger or other people are." Dr. Wells nodded thinking. "Well I think the particle accelerator did something and it made you get anything that you want to help people. Arabella. This is a very dangerous and very powerful ability you will have to learn to use it only when you need to, It will make you tired if you use this to much In one day. you need to build up your mental stage." "So I have to... meditate?"

I asked confused. "Uhmm, not precisely we have to see what your limits are. You have to train till you cant no more." I got nervous. "Uhm, ok how am I going to do that?" Cusco comes in. "I found a way for you to fight." He comes in with a dummy. "I am gonna fight this?" Cisco nods and takes out a remote control.

I get in a purple sports bra and some black cotton booty shorts. I go on the training room. Cisco sets up the dummy. And I hear Cisco. "Ok on 3. 1... 2... 3 GO!!!"  I duck and punch the stomach 2. I kick the side. The dummy throws a punch and I block it easily.

The dummy kicks and knocks me on my back. I get up and punch, duck, kick, punch, block, flip, punch. I fall to the ground out of breath. I get up and keep fighting. After about 2 hours I am about to pass out.

Third P.O.V

"Dr. Wells please she is about to pass out and she is covered in bruises. Let me help her. Can I please give her some water!!" Caitlyn pleads Dr. Wells on the other side. Arabella is on her knees. "Ok fine then she has to get up and fight." Dr. Wells says seeing her condition she is in.  Not because he cares about her no, but because it's not her time to die. Yet. Barry watches feeling sorry for Arabella. Cisco looks worried for the poor girl.

Caitlyn runs as fast as she can to the mini fridge and grabs a cold bottle of water. She then runs in the training room she crouches and takes the lid off the bottle and holds it up to Arabella. Her being to weak to hold it. Arabella chugs the water down. "Thank you Caitlyn." She whispers. "Your welcome now get up Dr. Wells stills wants to watch you." Arabella rolls her eyes and Caitlyn helps her up throwing the bottle away.

Arabella goes back to fighting the dummy. After a another 2 hours Arabella finally reaches her limit and falls. She passed out do to exhaustion. Caitlyn, Cisco and Barry run in. Barry catches Arabella before she hits the floor. He speeds her in the med bay and Caitlyn comes in with Cisco. Not any of them catching Dr. Wells smirking evily full of hate towards Barry and Arabella.

Caitlyn hooks her to an IV and checks her vitals then she looks at the bruises littering her body. Barry sits next to her. Waiting for her to wake up. Cisco cleans up the floor that Arabella was training on. Caitlyn makes sure she is ok and refills her IV bag and then leaves.

3 hours later

Arabella wakes up alone. She walks out after unhooking the IV from her arm. She was out to Cisco and Dr. Wells sitting at the desk with no Caitlyn. "What's happening?" I ask. Cisco screams and jumps out of his seat. He looks at me. "Caitlyn is on her way here and Barry had to leave to go up against The Mist. Who is a meta that can turn into gas." My eyes widen.

I run to the desk. "Barry, Barry are you ok?" I ask frantically. I look at his vitals. They are low. Then all of a sudden Barry is next to me I hold him up against the desk while he struggles to breath. "Inside... me... Gas... can't breath." Is all he gets out of his mouth. I look at Cisco. "Cisco get the oxygen mask now!!" I pick Barry up and walk to the med bay. I set him down and Cisco runs in. Then Caitlyn comes in. Dr. Wells is near the exit.

"He brought us a sample." Dr. Wells said. "Cut me open I heal fast." Caitlyn looks at him worried. "Caitlyn do it." I said gently. I hold Barry's hand while he squeezes it. "Cisco hand me the syringe." He grabs it behind him. "Its a small needle you probably wont even feel it." Cisco said gulping. "Oh he will definitely feel it. I'm sorry Barry." I unzip his top. She then stabs him with the syringe Barry gasps and I hold down his chest with my elbows. He gets tears in his eyes he then goes limp.

I bite my lip. Caitlyn takes the gas out and then leaves starting on an antidote. Dr. Wells follows and Cisco leaves and works on some invention. I stay with Barry holding his hands. I put my head on the bed and close my eyes. After a few minutes I lift my head. My eyes get heavy but I dont go to sleep I stay besides Barry. I climb in bed with Barry and kiss his cheek.

I wrap his left arm around me and I lay my head on his shoulder. I soon fall asleep. I wake up to movement. I look up and see Barry up. He smiles down at me. "You gave me a fright Barry." I sit up on the bed. "I know and I am sorry." Everyone comes in and I smile at them. "He lives." Cisco said. I laugh. "Your lucky you survived if your lungs didn't regenerate so quickly you would be dead." "Yea I know it feels like that one time I had a cigarette in high school." Cailtyn looked wide eyed at him. "Yes badass." We all laugh.

They leave and I lay back down on Barry's shoulder. "Next time can you be more careful?" I said looking up. He looks down at me. "Yes I will. Now get your booty up I am going to run us to my house." "No your not we will walk." Barey sighs but nods. "I will be back in a minute." Barry nods and I go find Dr. Wells. "Knock, knock." I say. He turns around and smiles at me.

"So I know I should be mad at you for making me train so hard, but I see why you did it." Dr. Wells nods. "You did it because out there on the field I am not gonna have opponents that go easy on me. I will be tested for my strength. Your just getting me ready for that time." Dr. Wells nods. "Thank you for seeing my side Mis Smith." I smile at him. "I also came in here because the other day when Barry was running I could see everything so clear as if I was walking and everyone froze. I wanted to tell you that." Dr. Wells thinks. "Must be your reflexes since you you have heightened reflexes you must got heightened eye sight. So watch out for touch and hearing." I nod. "Thank you Dr. Wells I will see you tomorrow." "See you too Miss Smith."

I walk out and go to the Cortex and see Cisco and Caitlyn. "Where is Barry?" "He is stopping the meta." I nod and a minute later Barry is back. "So he is in the pipeline and is pissed." I smile slightly. "Thanks Barry." Caitlyn says he nods. "We goodnight see you guys tomorrow." I say. "Bye." Cisco and Caitlyn say at the same time.
