X - Sixteenth Night

" oh come on, I wasn't that drunk " said Dabi after Shitsumei told him about the stupid shit he has done yesterday, while she was looking through her wardrobe, " you smelled like alcohol the whole night " she replied.

He threw himself on her bed; rubbing his face, " and you really killed them ? " he asked looking at the ceiling, " ...my mind was blank..I wasn't thinking straight.. " she answered with shame in her voice.

And he could clearly hear how her hand was kinda shaking as she talked, the way she gulped after talking, he felt like he let her down somehow.

" is it even possible for you to kill people with your quirk ?? wasn't it just like mind control or something ? " he asked again.

She sighed and her hands stopped moving, " it's not mind control, it makes my mind connect with other minds deeply, so I can see there worst fears and show it to them, but.. people still can die from fear you know " she explained; her arms warped around herself.

Silent fill the place for awhile, he pulled himself off the bed and stood behind her, he sat on his knees before hugging her from behind, burying his face in the back of her neck.

" okay I know you are trying to comfort me but I'm not that dame short " she giggled before hitting him playfully with her elbow, " you are a dorf " he said with a grin.

It still hurts, every time she smiles, every time she laugh at his stupid dark jokes, she's not yours, you can't be with her, you'll hurt her or she'll hurt you, the voice never shut up.

The chains never dispersed, they were just always there to stop him from everything, he wished she could see them..

Her laugh suddenly stopped, " are you okay ? " she asked turning to him with open eyes, his heart sank, dose she knows ?, he stuttered " y-yeah ? ".

The answer seemed to unplease her, but she still smiled and hugged him quietly, he hugged back immediately.

Yuri was rubbing against his back; joining the hug, " what about I sneak you out again tonight ? " he asked after a long silence.

She backed away while furrowing her eyebrows; eyes shut, " are you still drunk ? " she giggled nervously with her hands on his chest, " no, I mean it, you discovered something new yesterday so why not today too ? ".

For a second she looked at him like she's waiting for him to tell her he's joking, but then she realized he's serious.

" it's too risky are you dumb ?? ", she yelled quietly.
" oh come on you're with a villain and you still care about your reputation ? ".
" I don't give dame about my reputation, but I don't want your burnt ass in jail ".
" oh you learned a new word I see ".

She slammed her arms to her side; knowing that he won't take her seriously, she again turned to the wardrobe and went back to look through her clothes.

A loud sigh escaped him, " are you coming or not ? " he asked one last time, " I won't " said Shitsumei.

" wrong answer " he said while lifting her up, " Dabi put me down or I swear " she threatened, " don't get ahead of yourself pumpkin, I'm the man here ".

And as the first time, he jumped from her balcony to the ground, walked through the backyard, then climbed something, and as easy as that they were out.
