My Brother's Worst Enemy

Chapter Nineteen ( Jade's POV )

" Get ready to go Jade . Going to meet Alex and his friend . " Jacob yelled from the room down the hall.

" I'll pass , been out enough today . Plus my makeup is running and I just wanna sleep . " I yelled back .

My eyes are starting to adjust to all this damn crying . I never cried this much in my life , I'm going to have the worst bags under my eyes .

" Let's go Jade . " Jacob said standing in my door way . He was dressed to the " T " . " Well you look nice , " I grinned . " Hope y'all have fun . "

" Can you please not play the stubborn game Jade . They waiting on us . We got to get all the way back on y'all side of the city ." He pleaded . My face lit up , " My side of town ? " I asked as I sprang to the closet to put on some shoes.

" We are no going to see your pals Jade , strictly business . "

I countined to get dressed and ready . I put on fresh makeup and grabbed my phone.

" You done now " he asked in an annoyed tone.  " Who pissed in your Cheerios ?" I asked as we walked out the door ." Nobody " he answered still in that stern tone .

" Well , who we meeting and where ? " I asked as he picked the darkest colored car . " Just hop in , please . " he asked as he got in the drivers side .

I did as asked and choose to not ask or say anything else .

He rode for about 20 minutes in silence , I guess he remembered I don't like the radio .

" Jade ? " he asked breaking the silence .

" Yes sir ? " I answered looking up from my phone screen .

" How do you really feel ? " he asked keeping his eyes on the rode .

" About ? " I asked going back to my phone . Jacob was good for making casual conversation . Even though I was really enjoying the silence and not having to ramble my brain .

" Staying with us ? Not knowing if you'll ever go back home , see Tony or your friends ?" He continued .

" I don't care to think 'bout it . I refuse to . It's not that bad staying with you , I just wish Alex wasn't here . " I responded . " Not that I wanna live alone with you . " I finished . My cheeks got hot & it got quiet . Jacob looked over at me for the first time since he can got me out my room . " I really won't ever see my family or friends again ? " I asked looking him in his eyes. " I don't know Jade . I wish I could promise you we would send you home . I just can't . "

I looked down. Well at least I'm close to home and can look out my window at familiar places .

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I ignore the first vibration hoping it was a text . Then it vibrated again , making me pull it out my pocket .

Tony's name came up  , I slid to green to answer .

" Hey Babe . " I answered .

" What's good ?" He responded .

" Nothing , I miss you. " I pouted .

" I miss you more bae. " he said in that soft, suddle, sexy voice . It makes me melt every time .

" You can't miss me more then I miss you . " I giggled .

"But I do Jade ." he responded real sincere .

I just smiled , " Bae ? " I questioned . " Yeah ? " he answered . " I got to go , call you when I get back to her house . We went out to dinner . " I said .

I hate nothing more then lying to him . I know damn well I'm no with no aunt out of town. But we were pulling up to the destination so I had to hang up.

" Y'all seem happy ." Jacob said as he cut the car off.

" Who told you we weren't ?" I spat . People forever prejudge my relationship .

" I didn't mean it like that . Didn't mean to offend you ." he apologized as he got out the car. I took a little more time getting out , I don't even want to be in this setting . I tried talking in private , that didn't work . What makes Stevie B's different ?

Once I got out I walked to the entrance door that Jacob had been holding for me.

I walked in and immediately made eye contact with Alex I just turned back out of the doors . I bumped right into Jacob' s arm and keep pushing out the door . " Jade ? " he called out . " I don't wanna go in there . He just going to taunt me an since we are in public I can't react . I don't want to know how much he hates Tony . I don't care about how he feels. I don't wanna know his opinion on my boyfriend. " I paused ," How about we bash him for ruining his life , my life , and our parents life . "

Jacob stood stunned .
