A week later...

Logan point of view

Here I am, in the mall, on my way to Bob's Kabobs, where I work. It's been a week since since that afternoon at Crusty's. A week since Cece and I became friends. And a week since Ty said that Rocky and I were not allowed to go out again.

Call me crazy, but, I'm not that upset. I mean, I was really mad when Ty first said it, but, surprisingly, I got over it in minutes! Weird. I mean, I do want to be with Rocky... right?

Well, Rocky has been trying to convince Ty to change his mind. But so far, he's sticking to his decision.

So, from the looks of it, Rocky and I aren't about to get back together.

While Rocky's been wasting her time with her older brother, me and Cece have been spending a lot more time together. We've hung out after school school with the rest of the gang, talked in between classes, and I've come over her house a few times to help her babysit Flynn.

It's been fun! I've learned things about Cece that I never knew before! Did you know that her and Rocky have known each other since they were partners in a dance class when they were both five? Wait, you did? Oh, okay then...

I finally made it to the food court, and entered the work station at Bob's Kabobs. Just as I was about to put together my first kabob, I heard a voice behind me.

"Logan Hunter."

I turned my head and saw an a tall man standing behind me. I recognized him right away. It was Mr. O'Brien, my boss.

I know what you thinking. "Boss? I thought you were the boss of Bob's Kabobs, Logan." And, yeah, I am, but I'm just the manager. Mr. O'Brien owns the food court. Therefore, he's in charge of everything. Making him, my boss.

"Oh, good morning Mr. O'Brien." I said. "Is something wrong?"

"Logan, I need to talk to you." He said. "Please, come with me to my office."

I nodded, and followed him down the hall, until we reached the door with his name on it. We entered into the large room.

"Please sit down." He said, pointing at the small chair in front of his desk. I obeyed and sat down, as he sat down at his desk.

"Sir, is there something wrong?" I asked, politely.

"As a matter of fact, yes, there is, Logan." He said.

Rocky point of view

I was sitting on the couch at my apartment waiting for Ty to come home. I've been trying to talk to him all a week about letting Logan and I date. But every time I mention, he either ignores me, or just gives me the same "no" he always does. Uh! He's so stubborn!

You're probably thinking, "Rocky! I didn't know how much you like Logan!". And to be honest, even though I would like to go out with him again and see how it goes, I'm not really this desperate.

The main reason I'm doing this is for Logan. He was really eager to date me again. I mean, he kept bugging me at school, texting me, and even got me a white rose. He's probably so upset that Ty said no. Poor Logan!

Just then, the door to my apartment swung open. I turned my head, and saw none other than my brother, walk through the door.

"Ty!" I said, jumping up.

Ty, acting as if I wasn't in the room, walked right past me, and into the kitchen. I followed him.

"Ty, listen to me!"

"Not now Rocky! I don't have time to deal with this!"

"You're being completely unreasonable! Why won't you at least give him a chance?"

"And why won't you just grow up, and understand that when I say no, I mean NO!"

"That's not fair!"

"Life isn't fair, Rocky!"

"Come on! What can I do to make you change your mind?"

Ty just stood there for a second, not responding. Almost as if he was thinking about how to respond.

"Well?" I said.

He stood there quite for a few more seconds, and then sighed. Finally, he answered.

"How about this? I'll make you a deal. I'll let you and Logan date, if you help me with something first."

"Sure. Name it!" I said.

Ty sighed again, and sat down in a chair next to the counter.

"Okay, well, you know how I'm always able to charm the girls at school, and can always woe them into going out with me?" Ty asked.

"Well, you do mention it about five times every single day." I said. "Why?"

"Well, there's this one girl as t school that I really like. I've liked her for awhile now, actually. But she's not interested in me. She never gives me the time of day."

"So what are you saying?" I asked.

"Well, I guess I'm saying, I want you to help me win her over. You know, find out what she looks for in a guy, help me get her to return her feelings to me."

"And if I help you get a date with her, you'll let me and Logan go out again?" I asked.

"Exactly." Ty said.

"I'm in!" I said. "So, who exactly is this girl? What's her name?"

"Promise you won't tell anyone?"

"I promise." I said. "So what's her name?"

Ty sighed, and hesitated for a second, before responding.

"Tinka Hessenheffer."

Cece point of view

I was sitting on my couch, watching TV with Flynn. My mom's working a late shift, so I'm stuck at babysitting him for the whole day.

"Can we please watch something else?" I asked Flynn. "I'm getting really sick of these cartoons!"

"We're not changing the channel now!" Flynn exclaimed. "Spongebob is about to beat Plankton!"

I groaned. He saw this episode at least twenty times.

Just then, my cell phone rung. I picked it up and looked at the caller ID. It was Logan I got up and walked into the kitchen, before picking up.

"Hey Logan! What's up?"

"Hey Cece! Can I come over? I can help you babysit Flynn."

"Yeah sure! That'd be great! I could use someone to talk to."

"Okay, I'll be over in a bit."

That's when I noticed the tone of his voice. He's seemed upset about something.

"Hey, are you okay? You sound a bit down."

"To be honest, no, I'm not okay."

"Why? What's wrong?"

I heard him let out a breath of air before he answered.

"I just got fired
