Cece"s point of view
"Life's to short to hold grudges, guys. Just remember that."
And with that, the brunette left the restaurant, leaving Logan and I alone, both of us thinking about what Rocky said. And both of us completely unsure of what to say next.
The whole resteraunt was silent. Almost everyone was looking at me and Logan, waiting to see what we have to say. But I wasn't really thinking about the tens of people staring at us. Rocky's words were replaying themselves in ny head. Was she right? Are we just being ridiculous? Should we just let bygones be bygones?
Finally, the silence was broken.
"It really was an accident, wasn't it?" Logan said, in a sincere voice.
I lifted my head, and looked at him.
"Nooooooo!" I said, sarcastically.
"Oh man." Logan whined, placing his head in his hands. "Cece, I'm sorry. I was being stubborn, and I should have believed you. I was just really upset about losing the game, and about the break up with Rocky, that I guess I was just looking for someone to blame."
I couldn't believe it. He was really sorry! I could see the sincere look in his eyes. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but now I feel sorry for him.
"Look, Logan." I said. "I get why you were mad. And I've felt bad about it for months now! I've been trying to forget about it, but I just couldn't! I really am sorry! And not just for that one incident. I'm sorry for everything. For insulting you all the time, for being a total pain, all of that. I honestly want to move past all this."
Logan looked deep into ny eyes, with a look of somewhat shock.
"Cece," Logan said. "Like you said earlier, the worst you gave me was insults. I was acting like a total jerk. I started treating you badly because you weren't good at making kabobs. Who does that? And I started making assumptions about you after that, like saying that you were a obnoxious brat, and that you walk around like life owes you something. And that's really unfair. Not to mention, the whole 'dancing zit' thing. I really am sorry."
I just looked at him, completely silent. I never would have ever guessed that he would say that! And I can tell he really is sorry, because of that look in his eyes.
"Oh! And for the record," He quickly added. "I was TOTALLY against the idea of putting that video of you as a dancing zit, online. Flynn hit the 'upload' button before I could stop him."
I couldn't help but chuckle a bit at that last part.
"Don't worry about it, Logan. It's okay." I said.
We were both silent for a moment. Then Logan spoke.
"Do you think she's right? If the three of us never met at the mall, you and I would have nothing against each other?"
I didn't answer right away. I had to think.
If we never met at the mall, I never would have worked at Bob's Kabobs. And we never would have gotten into that fight, and I wouldn't have gotten fired. So, if all that never happened, than I would have first met him when we had dinner together. And I doubt that we would have somehow managed to get into a fight then.
"Yeah, she probably is." I admitted.
"Yeah." He agreed.
Once again, it was very silent. But not as long as before.
"Wanna start over?" Logan asked.
I looked into his brown eyes. To be honest, even though he didn't believe me at the time, I still hated to fight with him. And maybe Rocky's right.
"Yeah, I'd love that a lot." I replied smiling.
He smiled back at me. I can't remember the last time he smiled at me. At least, sincerely smiling at me. He has smiled at me sarcasticly quite a few times before.
He has a really nice smile.
We both got up from our seats and went around the table. Then we shared a friendly hug. It felt nice to be in his warm arms. To be completely honest, I'm actually really relieved that were friends now.
"AWWWWWWWW!" Yelled everyone in Crusty's. I completely forgot that everybody was watching us during that entire conversation!
Logan and I pulled apart, both of us blushing a bit.
"Don't you people have pizza to eat?" I exclaimed to everyone.
Then they all gave me a confused look, before turning away, and continuing with their lunch.
Just then, our waiter came over with his pen and paper.
"Hey, you two ready to order?" He asked.
Logan and I looked at each other one more time. I couldn't help but smile.
"Yeah, we're ready." Logan said, smiling as well.
We both sat back down in the booth, and told the waiter our order.
I have a feeling that this won't be such a bad day after all
