Cece point of view
"Ow!" I yelled, rubbing my sore hand against my side.
This is the hundredth time I tried to break the piece of wood, and so far nothing. If I keep this up, I might need a trip to the emergency room.
"Maybe you should call it a day." Flynn said, sitting on the couch behind me, refusing to remove his eyes off his comic book.
"No way." I said. "Logan's coming over tomorrow to train and I want to surprise him! I'll find a way to break it, you'll see!"
"Whatever." He said, closing his comic. "I still can't believe that you having just quit by now. You quit everything. Not to mention you hate karate!"
"I'm not like that anymore!" I yelled. "Besides, Logan showed me that karate can be kind of... fun."
Flynn raised an eyebrow. "Really? Logan got you to like karate? Wow! Next thing you know, that guy will be solving world peace!"
"Hey!" I exclaimed.
Flynn chuckled, got up from the couch, and walked to his room.
I would never tell Flynn this, but he's right. If it was anyone else, I would have just given up by now. Logan has always been able to get me to do things I would normally never do. I would normally just refuse to do it. But I just can't say no to him. And I know exactly why...
Speaking of which...
I took a quick peak down the hall, to check to make sure that Flynn closed his door. Then I quickly picked up my phone and dialed his number. It took a while, but he finally picked up.
"Hello?"
"Hey Logan? It's Cece. Look we need to talk."
"Yeah, your right. I was about to call you."
"Look, we can't talk over the phone like this. My brother is in the other room, and he could overhear us."
"Yeah, you're right. I'll meet you at Crusty's in ten minutes."
"Got it. See ya."
"Later."
I hung up my phone and ran out the door. And as I made my way down the staircase, my heart pounded. What if it gets out? What if everyone one in school finds out about what happened? Or worse... what if Rocky find out? And the biggest question I had in my head would continue to play like a broken record as I reached the pizza parlor:
Who saw us kiss last night?
Rocky point of view
I sat on the living room couch, while having a discussion with my brother. And it wasn't one that I was enjoying. He was telling me things that I just couldn't believe.
"They did what?!" I exclaimed.
He slowly nodded his head.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm positive." He said. "I went back to school last night to get my math book that I forgot, and I heard them talking. They REALLY like each other."
"And then you said that they..."
"Yeah, they kissed." Ty said.
I was absolutely speechless. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Cece and Logan have been seeing each other behind my back! Why didn't they tell me? How long has this been going on? Was it going on since Logan and I got back together?
I had a feeling that last night wasn't the first time they kissed. I can't believe those two. Cece is my best friend! And even though Logan and I broke up, I thought we were still really good friends. I can't believe they would do this to me...
"I'm sorry, Rocky." Ty said rubbing my arm.
"Did they see you?" I asked.
"No, I don't think so. I did make some noise while leaving, but they couldn't catch up to me. They have no idea that I was even there." He said.
I sighed with sadness, but also a bit of relief. Good. They don't know who it was, which means they probably don't suspect much. They DEFINITELY don't think I know about this.
But I still felt a mix of shock, confusion, sadness, and anger. Shocked, because it was unexpected, confused, because it came out of nowhere and is still very new to me, sadness, because it hurt me that they would do this behind my back, and anger because... well, pretty obvious reasons.
I still can't believe this. Cece and Logan are dating. My best friend and my exe boyfriend are dating. How could they do this to me? Especially Cece! She knows that it's forbidden to date your friend's exe! And yet she makes out with him in private?
And Logan... now I know why he broke up with me. It wasn't for some girl in Canada, it was for my best friend!
I needed to have more time rest and collect everything that's happened.
"Ty, I'm going to go to my room now, okay?" I said, standing up.
He nodded, and I began to walk away. Just when I was about to leave the room, I heard his voice:
"Oh wait! Rocky! I almost forgot! There's one more thing!" Ty exclaimed.
"Ty, I don't want to hear anymore of Cece and Logan. I've heard enough!"
"But this is really important!" He exclaimed.
I sighed. "Fine. What is it?"
"Right before I ran away, I heard Cece say something. She said that she really likes him, but that they can't be together, because he's your exe, and she can't date her best friends exe!"
I was in complete silence. No way. Cece really said that?
"Really?" I said quietly, in surprise.
Ty nodded.
I can't believe it. I had no idea Cece could be so caring. From what I heard, she's practically in love with the boy, and she would throw that away because of me?
I turned around and walked to my bedroom without saying a word. I fell onto my bed, and stared at the ceiling, as I thought over in my head, everything that just happened. What do I do? Do I confront them? Do I disown them?
I thought about this for quite a while, until it was time to go to lunch
