Ty point of view
Rocky and I were sitting on the couch in the living room of our apartment. It was just yesterday we made our deal- a deal agreeing that if she could help me win over Tinka, I'll give her permission to date the skater boy. It was a fair deal. There's just one thing...
We still had no idea on how we were going to get Tinka to like me. We were discussing a few ideas, but none of them were really working.
"And then," Rocky said. "We sent doves out of the cages, and you approach her, with a rose in your hand, and-"
"Okay! Okay! That's enough!" I exclaimed. "That's not going to happen either. And seriously Rocky, you've been reading WAY to many romance novels!"
She gave me an insulted look. "Well excuse me for wanting to help your love life by re-acting the scene from one of the greatest love stories of all time!"
"FYI, you're the only person who read it!" I said.
"Fine! Forget I mentioned it!"
"Well, now what?" I asked. "Got any other ideas?"
"Well," she said, while sitting up. "How about this. Instead of doing anything insane, I talk to her, and try to get her to talk about that night you two went on a date."
"And find out what?" I asked.
"And find out what she really thought of that date, what she really thought of you. And maybe see if she ever liked you then. Or maybe even still likes you now! Then we work from that."
A big smile grew across my face.
"I like it!" I exclaimed. "Let's do it!"
"Great!"
"How about this- after this week's episode live airing of 'Shake It Up Chicago!', you confront her about it. Then report to me in my dressing room."
"Got it!"
"Alright let's do this!" I exclaimed.

I rushed to my brother's side along with all the other dancers did, trying to get in front of the camera as Ty closed off the show.
"Thank you all for tuning in!" He exclaimed, while looking into the camera. "Be sure to come back next week! I'm your host Ty Blue, and I'll see you next time on 'Shake It Up Chicago!'!"
The loud buzzer went off, indicating that we were off the air. All the dancers cleared the floor, and started to pack up to leave.
Ty flashed me a look to remind me of the plan. I nodded, and headed over towards Tinka, who was standing at her makeup table, fixing her hair, and Ty dashed into his dressing room.
"Hey, Tinka!" I said, as I approached her. She turned around at the sound of my voice.
"Oh, hello Rocky." She said.
"Hey, uh, so Tinka, you know that book we read for reading class last semester? The one about the girl on her first date?"
"You mean "First Date" by Christopher Adams?" Tinka asked.
"Yeah, that one! Well, you see, I recently re-read it, and it really got me thinking."
"About what?" Tinka groaned, not trying to hide the fact that I was boring her.
"It got me thinking about my first date with a guy. His name was Tom Bulton, he had the most beautiful hair and cutest smile-"
"That's nice, Rocky, but since I don't care, I'm leaving." Tinka said while grabbing her purse.
"No wait! I'm not finished!" I yelled.
Tinka crossed her arms over her chest, showing that she was now listening, even though she didn't want to.
"You see," I continued. "After I thought about that, I started to think, 'Hey, I wonder who Tinka's first date was with!'."
"Oh you know who it was with." Tinka exclaimed. "It was with your brother. You and Red told everyone on the world wide web about it!"
"Oh yeah! Now I remember! Thanks Tinka. Hey, speaking of which, how was that date?"
I noticed that when I asked, her cheeks went red as an apple.
"I don't want to talk about this right now!" She said, as she turned to leave. But before she could, I grabbed her arm.
"Come on, tell me!" I demanded.
Tinka sighed. "Okay fine."
I let go of her arm, and she continued.
"What do you want to know?"
"Just how it was."
"Okay fine. To be completely honest, it was actually really nice. We went to the Pickle Museum, and then shared a dance. I had a really good time."
"Well, if you had a good time, then why did you say no when Ty asked you out again?"
"Ty and I are complete opposites. It would probably never work out."
"So, your saying if Ty was more like you, then you would have said yes?"
"No, that's not what I meant!"
"Then what do you mean?"
"What I mean is I think Ty is fine the way he is. I'm the real issue!"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that I am the biggest weirdo at the high the high school. Ty is the most popular boy there. Why would he want someone like me when there are all these other beautiful girls to choose from? The only reason he even asked me out a second time was because he felt bad for me."
I was in shock from what I just heard. Tinka is being insecure? She thinks Ty only asked her out because he pittyed her?
"Oh okay." I said. "Sorry for the trouble. You can go now."
Without saying another word, Tinka stormed out of the studio, leaving as the only when left in that big room.
I quickly ran down the hall and explained everything to Ty.
