In a pre apocalyptic world,two children. One with a blue shirt and jeans with the other with a yellow t-shirt and jeans we're running for their lives as the enemies crept ever so closer. Mysterious creatures that hunt for sport and will not stop until their prey is eliminated. Horrific creature that morph into one's nightmare. The creature's true appearance is unknown as it is always changing.
They're running through the abandoned city finding a place of safety for the time being. Tears streaming down their eyes as they were bought some time to escape by their friends knowing their inevitable demise.
After a few minutes of running,they finally found a place to hide. A bank with an open safe.
The creature letted out an unbearable screech enough for someone's ears to bleed as the two quickly closed the safe doors.The creature slammed it's fists and clawed at the door before leaving as it had no reason to hunt them anymore.
"We've lost them" one said as he took a sigh of relief and sat down on the cold floor and not long after,so did his friend. His friend couldn't help but smile as they get to live another day but it immediately faded away as she saw his friends sad face.
She layed her head on the door before starting a conversation once more "I'm sorry we couldn't save them in time" the boy's tears started to flow like a water fall as he remembered the simpler times before everything happened. Before he lost the last members of his family and friends only leaving him with her in this apocalyptic world they now live in.
The girl felt pitty for him. She knows how it feels to lose someone you love. But no matter how much pain he goes through,he still smiles no matter what which gives them a spark of hope that some day, some day this era of pain will end.
The boy leaned his head to the much taller girl and hugged her arm for warmth. She hugged him tightly not knowing when they will seperate and cherishing the time they have together.
"Let's go make a fire" the girl said and slowly and carefully release from the hug and the boy slowly nodded wiping a few tears left behind as the girl grabbed a pile of cash and took out a flint and steel and started a fire in the middle of the room to make sure it's equally lit and the warmth will be everywhere but not so much that it's unpleasant.
The boy stood up and walked towards the fire and sat next to hir friend. His friend grabbed bread from her bag and cutted it in half and gave it to the boy next to her
"I know it's not much. But,its what we have for now" she said and smiled at the boy next to her. He returned the smile and took a bite of the bread.
They stared into the fire reminiscing the times before the apocalypse before slowly drifting asleep.
What happened to the world and how did it come to this? Will they be able to end this apocalypse or will the humans be nothing more than a myth?
