A/N: Okay, before I begin DarkerStars and Roselees I know this was your idea first, but Star and I were discussing a child of Reinette and she brought up the whole idea again. Unable to help myself I asked if there had been a child made in the Viking period. She said no, so I am making a Viking tomorrow. Then, I came up with the idea of a Roman one which is Marcia. Which I spent literally 3 hours researching the Roman Empire for.

Now for those of you who are history nerds like me here are some factoids for you! First of all female names in the Roman Empire were the feminine version of their father's clan name (middle name) so I am not being lazy with the names here that's literally how it was. Romans have three different names for marriage and each different kind of marriage is basically why the couple got married. A man is considered a Roman citizen by age 16 or 17. The male head of the family (paterfamilias) was in control of the female child even after she was married to her husband. The age of consent in the Roman Empire for girls was 12 and for boys 14. Males had 3 or 4 different names, most females had one. That's all! XD

Personality: Marcia is a quiet girl, known for being private and respectful, not having a bone to pick with anybody. She does what she is told and is never one to speak a sharp word in anger. She is very curious and is known for asking questions to those who know her well as she is not content with living in a world that she does not know anything about. Oftentimes forgetful she leaves herself objects around the house to remind her of tasks needed to be done. Such as leaving her favorite necklace next to her sewing to remind her that she needs to mend her grandfather's tunic. Though she is very quiet when she does talk she is rather blunt and will say things directly without beating around the bush and is as truthful as manners allow, though at times she talks so fast she needs to repeat things. She thrives best in an environment with a normal routine as it makes it harder to forget things. However, she is easily distracted by other tasks and has to force herself to take things one at a time in order to get anything done. When making decisions she oftentimes makes them very quickly and has a problem thinking it through. She has an issue with talking herself out of all decisions if she thinks about them, so she just goes with her gut even though her gut is not always right. She is most happy though when dressing up, whether it be her dolls or herself. She loves the lingering stares of young men as she passes by on the street, and the compliments of those who approach her.

Family: Caeso Marcianus Aelianus (Grandfather), Paula (Grandmother), Appius Marcianus Aelianus (Uncle), Marciana (Mother) and the Doctor (Father)

Backstory: About a year before Marcia's birth when Marciana was 20 she was walking around the Forum with her husband of 6 years, when she spotted a man. He looked rather out of place as he was wearing something that by no means resembled a tunic. At first she thought him to be from a foreign country, so she merely went about her business. Then, she saw him again, and again, and again. Always in the Forum she saw him, he always seemed to be chatting or waving around an object with an emerald tip. She never talked to him until after her husband got sick. He had just gone to his workshop for the work day and Marciana had been in the front sewing when there was a knock on the door. It was rather odd as most people just came right in, despite the oddities of the situation Marciana put her sewing down and answered the door. On the other side she was greeted by a rather sheepish man who asked her what day it was. A rather odd question, but she gave him the date March 5th 80 A.D. he thanked her and was about to leave when Marciana stopped him and asked him his name. The Doctor, his name was the Doctor. After introducing herself, she had invited him into her home. He declined politely, then said something about having to be somewhere before walking away. Curious, Marciana had followed him and after rescuing her from lizard creatures in the Emperor's temple the two began to regularly. In the meanwhile Marciana's husband's cough kept getting worse and worse, it had been weeks and he still had not recovered. Marciana was starting to realize that he was never going to recover. The Doctor found Marciana crying her heart out one night in guilt, her husband was slipping away, but despite that she was developing feelings for somebody else. That night she was desperate and so the two went into her bedroom and shut the door.

After that, Marciana never saw him again and found herself pregnant with an illegitimate child as her husband continued to get worse. Days before the birth of Marcia, her husband died. That turned over a new leaf in Marciana's life as not only was there a new emperor, Domitian, but Marciana's world shattered as she was forced to move back into her childhood home. She was a woman, her husband had owned the property and therefore it was no longer her home. When her baby was born she had already moved back in and almost begged her father to just let the baby out to die. However, she would never admit it was a illegitimate child as she didn't want to risk being kicked out. She would be left for dead and would die a death she would never wish upon her worst enemy. In a wave of grief she decided to keep the child, despite her bitterness at the man who abandoned her.

Marcia never knew her father, she was told he had died before she was born and she had never questioned it. By the end of Domitian's rule she was age 15 and as Roman custom dictated she was married to a man she had never met. By 103 A.D. she was pregnant with her first child. Her husband had been telling her about rumors going around about a madman guarding a stone box. She thought it was just some tale made up to spread rumors, but her husband assured her it was true. However, she didn't believe him until she encountered the Last Centurian. She had been cleaning the house when out of the window she saw a brief glimpse of metal armor, she looked up startled and quit sweeping as seeing someone in armor was rather rare. Especially since most of the soldiers would be off to fight some petty war or another. She glanced at the window and sure enough saw a man in armor just walking down the street casually. She thought it weird, but went back to cleaning.
