(Flashback Start)
"Your mother is Tsunade Senju and your father is Jiraiya, my old students," Hiruzen said smiling.
(Flashback End)
I just sat in my chair, looking down at the ground in shock. I'm mean wouldn't you have the same reaction if you were just told you were actually from an anime you loved growing up and your parents are two of the Legendary Sannin. "I just have one question," I asked as I raised my head to look at Hiruzen directly into his eyes. "What is it?" Hiruzen said, taking a hit from his pipe and blowing the smoke out. "D-did they love me?" I asked so quietly that it sounded that I was asking myself that question. I could feel Hiruzen's eye burn into the top of my head as he just stared at me. "Well... did they?" I asked again, barely being able to hold my tears back.
"Your parents love you June," Hiruzen said in a soft tone. "They were devastated that they thought that they had lost you. They'll be overjoyed to know that your alive" Hiruzen told me while giving me a warm, reassuring smile. My heart sored, "Are they coming back to the Leaf?" I asked excitedly as I launched myself out of the chair and stood in front of the large wooden desk. "I'll send them a message telling them to return to the village urgently, it should take at least two weeks," Hiruzen said. I can't wait to meet my real parent. Don't get me wrong I love and still miss my adoptive parents but I finally get to fill that hole in my heart that was left there because of their deaths. I was now more determined than ever to stop Jiraiya from dying. "I'll definitely have to train super hard" I mused.
As I was thinking about how nice it would be to meet my parents and how I should train my stomach growled loudly. My cheeks started to heat up in embarrassment as Hiruzen laughed. "Traitor" I mumbled to my stomach. When I looked up at Hiruzen I saw him handing me an envelope and set of keys. "What's that?" I asked taking the envelope and keys. "That envelope is filled with money that should get you by for about two weeks, plus a little extra. The keys are to an apartment you will be staying in until your parents get back" Hiruzen said to me. I looked at the keys before setting them back on the table. Hiruzen gave me a look of confusion so I decided to explain.
"I'm very thankful that you would give me a place to stay until my parents get here but if you don't mind I'll go live with Naruto, I mean we're kind of like cousins anyways so why not" I explained to Hiruzen. What I didn't tell him was the real reason I wanted to stay with Naruto is so that I could protect him from all the villagers besides, who doesn't want to be around him. I saw Hiruzen nodding in understanding before he spoke. "Very well June," Hiruzen said. "Thank you Hiruzen," I said as I went around his desk and gave him a hug. Hiruzen chuckled and returned the hug. When I broke from the hug and made my to the door Hiruzen called me and I stopped and turned around to look at him. "I'll need you to come here in the morning so that we can enroll you in the academy," Hiruzen said to me. A smile crawled it's way across my face. "I get to meet all of the rookie 9, sweet!" I shouted in my head before I replied to Hiruzen happily, "Okay".
I left the Hokage's tower and walked through the village for a bit before I stopped suddenly as I realized something. "I have no clue where to go," I said as I mentally smacked my forehead. I asked around and finally got some directions from a sweet old lady where Ichiraku was. "Thank you," I said as I bowed to the lady. "It's no problem," the old lady said before handing me a beautiful looking necklace. It wasn't all extravagant and shit but I thought it was beautiful. The necklace was made of silver and had the Uzumaki Swirl carved on one side and the Senju symbol on the other side. "That's convenient" I mused as I took the necklace from the lady and reached for the money that Hiruzen gave me.
