(Flashback Start)

I breathed in and out to steady my speeding heart. I looked Neji straight in the eye as I let him in the Genjutsu. Once he saw my true from his eye grew wide. I tried reading his expression or the look in his eyes but I couldn't. I just nervously twirled around and nervously said, "You like it?". Neji stood there for a bit, gripping his chin in thought. " I don't like it, not one bit," Neji said in a monotone voice. I started to tear up and I was about to run but I didn't when I heard his next words. " I love it a lot. You look very strong" Neji said with a closed eye smile. I just looked up at him with happiness and I threw myself in him. "That means a lot coming from you Neji-Kun," I said to Neji, adding the honorific.

We just stayed like that for a while. neither one of us really wanting to let go of the other.

(Flashback End)

After what I want to call our 'moment' Me and Neji left the trees holding hands. I had a big dumb smile on my face. As we walked by Izumo and Kotetsu I looked over at them to see their eyes grow wide and mouths drop open. I giggled at their reactions seeing Neji holding hands with me. My giggling got the attention of Neji and he looked down at me. "Why are you laughing?" Neji asked with a curious face. "Well I was giggling because of Izumo and Kotetsu," I said as we walked down the street. "Oh, what did they do?" Neji asked me. "They had the funniest expressions on their faces when they saw us holding hands" I responded.

Neji just nodded his head in acknowledgment and we continued our walk down the street. We passed by a Dango shop and as we passed by my stomach growled. "Are you hungry?" Neji asked me as he stopped walking, causing me to stop as well. I looked at the Dango shop and looked back at Neji. "No I'm fine," I said, giving Neji a smile. Almost as soon as finished my sentence my fucking stomach growled, even louder this time. That caught the attention of passer Byers. I could feel my face heat up in embarrassment and Neji gave me an amused smirk. "W-what's so funny Neji-Kun?" I asked in an embarrassed tone. "Let's go," Neji said before he dragged me into the Dango shop.

We sat down at a table and a waitress came over. "Hello, my name Asumi and I'll be taking your orders" the waitress that walked up to us said. Neji ordered himself just tea and nothing to eat and once the waitress wrote it down. Once she finished that she turned to m and asked, " and for you?". "Umm... the same as him and can I have some sweet Dango please," I said as my stomach growled. I'm about to take a kunai and stab my stomach if it doesn't just shut up already. "S-sorry" I apologized as I looked down in extreme embarrassment. I couldn't see it but I could sense the amusement coming from the waitress and I could feel the smile on her face as she left.

I looked back up at Neji after the waitress left. I could see a thoughtful expression on his face. "What ya thinking about?" I asked. "Hm? oh, nothing important" Neji said waving me off. I could definitely tell something was up so I pushed it. "Don't lie to me mister" I said with a sickly sweet smile that I've seen Tsuande and Anko use. I could see him visibly flinch and sigh in defeat. "Fine... I was just thinking what if others found about your... you know" Neji said. I tilted my head in confusion before it snapped back up after realizing what he meant. "So my safety isn't important?" I said with a hurt expression. "N-no that's not what I meant!" Neji said quickly.

"I'm just joking with you Neji-Kun-" I started as I placed my hand on Neji's, "-I'm glad that you would worry about me but you don't have to". "But what if someone tries to kidnap you and try to steal your power," Neji said in a worried tone. "Well they can try, they won't even land a hand on me. Even if they do get me they would get a beating of a lifetime" I said as I raised my fist. Soon after that, the waitress returned with our order of tea and Dango. "Thank you for waiting, have a nice date you two," the waitress said as she left with a wink. My face started to heat up in a blush and I immediately stuffed a stick of Dango in my mouth.
