Eyes. Everywhere. Watching you, constantly. You're every move. Judging you.

You took a shaky breath as you continued to stroll beside your boyfriend Chris. You two had been friends for a few years before he asked you out a few months ago. And so far Chris knew you were self conscious... but he didn't know how bad it could be. With every set of eyes that turned to look at you, your anxiety built brick by brick. Chris gently squeezed your hand, pulling you from your trance. "Hey baby, you okay?" You nodded all too eagerly, "Yup, perfectly fine. Just... enjoying the moment." He raised an eyebrow at you before leaning down and kissing your temple. "OH MY GOTH, ITS CHRIS MOTIONLESS!" You heard a girl shriek. You groaned internally, really not wanting the extra attention. Before you could avoid it the jade haired girl came running over, practically drooling over Chris. This was it, the final brick. The world started to spin, the ringing in your ears got louder and the air got thinner. "Chris, I'll be right back." You said hurriedly, dropping his hand and running to hide away. You finally found a place under a tree in the furthest corner of the park. You curled up in a ball, trying to remember the breathing exercises you had been taught. "Y/n!" Chris called, jogging up to you. "I-I'm S-sor-ry..." You hiccupped, "Hey, hey, look at me babygirl... you're okay. I'm here." He said, coming to sit behind you. He put his legs on either side of you and pulled you into his chest. You kept breathing, trying to focus on the feeling of the warmth of him and the scent of his cologne. He started running his hand over your back and kissing your temple. "You're okay. I promise, you're safe." He whispered against your skin. You took a shuttering breath and finally started to relax into him. He switched from rubbing your back to letting you trace out his tattoos. "I'm sorry I ruined our date Chris... I-" "There's no reason to be sorry darling. I could tell something was wrong, I just didn't know what." You sighed and shifted to face him completely. "I have generalized anxiety disorder and one of the things with that is paranoia. And I'm paranoid that people are constantly watching and judging me. And its apart of my insecurity and-" Chris leaned forward and kissed you softly. After a few small kisses you finally relaxed back into his arms. "There's no need to explain yourself babygirl. I understand. But I want to help, and I can't if you don't tell me. Okay?" You nodded and cuddled into his neck, enjoying the moment of unconditional love.
