The end of the week dawns upon us, a few days after the sacking of Professor Trelawney, and Tracey and I get comfortable in front of the fire Friday evening, leaving our pile of homework for the weekend.

"Umbridge is on the warpath ever since that interview," Tracey moans as she sinks deeper into the couch.

"It's only going to get worse, with Dumbledore defying her like that with the new Divination teacher. She wants vengeance," I add.

"Only a matter of time," says Tracey.

The common room wall opens and in comes marching Pansy Parkinson gleaming brightly next to Draco; even he looks happier than he has in days making my heart pang slightly with jealousy. Millicent, Daphne, Crabbe, Goyle, and a few other students walking in behind them all looking just as pleased.

"What're they so happy about?" Tracey asks besides me.

"Do you really want to know?" I raise an eyebrow at her.

"Yeah, you're right, but it does involve Draco, and Parkinson will probably come gloat now about it," she answers.

As if on cue they all walk over towards the fireplace, Draco and Pansy sit down across from us and the rest crowd around.

"Choosing us for the Inquisitorial Squad," she says puffing her chest out, "being handpicked by Umbridge herself. We going to catch Potter in the act, you just watch," Pansy speaks loudly, looking all snooty.

Everyone around them nodding in agreement, Crabbe and Goyle cracking their knuckles as though getting ready for a fight.

Tracey and I look at each other, we both know what that means; the D.A. meetings are in jeopardy more than before. As Tracey said it was only going to be a matter of time and Umbridge certainly didn't waste any.

I lay my head against the couch and sigh softly; this is because of the interview Harry did, Umbridge is angry because she knows that she is losing this battle, and she wants to catch Harry out. And one thing I know is that Pansy loves to gloat and this time it helps because now I can warn Harry and them that we will have to be extra careful with the meetings.

I look over to Draco and catch him already looking at me, with a hint of sadness in his eyes.

He smiles tenderly at me, and my heart softens. My mind in a whirlwind of thoughts; maybe I should tell him about my Animagus and about the meetings, he'll understand just as I understood everything about his family.

"I'm going to get an early night," he says to the group while standing up.

"Aw don't go yet," Pansy says grabbing his arm. "We're all enjoying ourselves."

Pulling his arm free he replies, "sorry, I have a bit of a headache and want a clear head for tomorrow."

Walking up towards the boys' dormitories he glances my way one more time, that same sorrowful look in his eyes. Draco has trusted me with so much and has opened up to me about everything in his life, but yet I still choose to keep secrets from him, it isn't fair on him.

"Going to go after him? He's alone so you can finally find out what's going on in that head of his," Tracey says quietly next to me.

I have to tell him.

Looking up towards the stairs, I shake my head. "No, he clearly doesn't want to talk about it. Things have just been a little awkward between us since the interview in The Quibbler."

"He's probably trying to work things out first before speaking to you."

"I don't know, Tracey, I've never seen him like this before not even while I was getting to know him," I sigh.
