February moves towards March with no change in the weather except that it becomes windy as well as wet. To general indignation, a sign goes up on all common room notice boards that the next trip into Hogsmeade has been cancelled.
It's no surprise though, given that Katie Bell has still not returned from St. Mungo's. What's more, further disappearances have been reported in the Daily Prophet, including several relatives of students at Hogwarts.
Tracey continues on with the Apparition lessons, however, much to her disappointment and pleading I don't carry on. It gets rather boring when each attempt after the other is successful; there's no use in continuing to go and get taught something you already mastered in two lessons.
Tracey explains that frustration is running high in the lessons and there is a certain amount of ill-feeling toward Wilkie Twycross and his three D's, which has inspired a number of nicknames for him, the politest of which are Dogbreath and Dunghead.
March begins with a wonderful surprise as the first Saturday evening I walk back to the common room from the library.
"A student out of bed!" a deepened voice echoes from behind me.
I would normally become aggravated at that sentence, however that voice sounds nothing like Filch.
Turning around I spot the glorious faces of George and Fred at the entrance hall doors.
"What are you guys doing here!" I exclaim, jogging towards them.
Upon reaching them Fred wraps his arms around my waist, hoisting me up into the air and spinning me around. George comes in for a one-armed group hug once Fred places me back on my feet, as he is holding a largely wrapped gift in the other.
"We were waiting for you all in Hogsmeade," answers George, as they let go of me.
"Yeah, we thought we'd surprise you, wanting to buy out Zonko's shop, but it won't help if you lot aren't allowed out at weekends," Fred says gloomily.
"Then we heard our brother is in the hospital wing," says George.
"So, we've come to see what happened to him. Apparently, he could have almost died," adds Fred.
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that," I answer sincerely. "I hope he makes a speedy recovery."
As much as Ron and I despise each other, he still remains the twins' brother and I'd hate to see anything happen to any one of the Weasley's.
"He's so hard-headed, I know he will," Fred says with a small smile.
"We're going to find out now from Harry what happened," says George.
"With everything that's happening around us these days, everyone's guard needs to be up twenty-four-seven," I respond.
The twins nod grimly.
George takes hold of my one hand, shaking it faintly. "Want to walk us there?"
"Sure." I smile, giving his hand a small squeeze.
"I hear the Apparition lessons have started," George speaks again as we walk up the stairs.
"Yeah, but I'm not taking them anymore," I answer.
"Understandable, you already know how to do it," answers Fred.
"Exactly!"
"It'll be fun to finally Apparate and not leave you behind," says George.
"Although seeing her get mad every time we left her was quite fun too," chuckles Fred.
I scowl jokingly at the two. "I'm going to get you two back for all that," I smirk.
