Chapter 3

HIKARI'S POV

I start cooking some food in the kitchen with ban "So, you and Captain are clos---" Ban goes to say. "Ha, nah. Don't go there" I say holding my hand up and using. My other to cut the food. Ny knife slips and I cut my finger "Aw crap." I say and let out a gasp through my teeth. I run to the sink and nod at ban to get a plaster. He smiles a sinister smile. I'm confused but soon understand "Captain~" Ban says loudly so Meliodas can hear "BAN N--" I start but stop when meliodas walks in. He goes to say something but sees my hand. I awkwardly smile and then he rushes over. "I told you to cut with TWO hands, not one! Ban you need to watch Ari! Seriously!" He says sort of chuckling to himself "That's it I'm out" Ban says putting the knife in the sink and walking out of the kitchen. Meliodas gets a cloth and a plaster. He grabs a wipe "Stay still, it'll only take 2 seconds" Meliodas says and wipes the cut. I wince but then he looks up at me "All done" He says. I look down at my hand and it's mended up nicely. I smile "Thanks! I... Um ban was being an idiot when he called you. I was fine on my own" I say looking away. My face feels hot. I'm not.... Blushing... Am I? NO I THINK I AM?! WHY?! THERES NO NEED!!??? I Realise he's smiling at me and still holding my hand I pull my hand away and carry on cooking. "You were blushing Ari" He mocks "It's just hot in here. I ain't. Clear off so I can cook Aight?" I say sounding mean. He walks out with a giggle. I stop smile then carry on.

AERIN'S POV

I sit outside the tavern, getting some fresh air. While I sit here I plait my hair nicely in 2. I sigh, earlier today, was crazy. I don't even understand it fully but whatever... I hug my knees and put my chin on them. "I thought you were out here" I look over and see Elaine walk out of the door. She sits next to me "So Kings been asking about you ya know?" Elaine says "Oh really? Why?" I ask. Elaine smiles and goes to say something but stops herself and shakes her head. "It's nothing"she chuckles. I trust her so I tske no notice." your pretty close with Ban lately "Elaine says. Iook down. "No way. Friends." I say clenching my fists. I hear Elaine laugh "Suure~" She says. I roll my eyes "Never gonna happen" I say.

HIKARI'S POV

I finish up for the day and get myself a large beer keg. I sit on the balconys railing with the keg on my lap as I drank from it. "Hey mind if we all join you out here?" Merlin says walking out with everyone else. I nod. "Hikari. Hello." Gowther makes a B line for me. "Heya" I say my face red from the ale. He just walks away. He is a strange one. Meliodas comes and sits up where I am "Yall gotta be out here?" I ask hitting my head on the keg. Meliodas gently pushes my head away from the keg "Because, its a Friday night!" He says his emerald eyes seem to glow. I gaze into them for afew seconds before he notices. I quickly turn back to the keg "I'm too sober to be embarrassed now" I say and start downing the ale. I hear every one laugh and I see Aerin and Ban sitting in the corner just chatting. I swear I see the look in their eyes... Huh...
