Chapter 5

HIKARI'S POV

I finish my morning shower and wrap myself in a towel. I turn the tap on and splash my face. I swipe my clothes from the rack and put them on including attaching my whip to my belt. I unlock the door and walk out towards the stairs. "Mornin' yall" I say looking better than I feel. "Morning Ari" Aerin says sitting down on a chair. I sit next to her. No one says a word they're all hungover. Aerin hands me a cup of ale "Nah... I can't." I say rubbing my head "ARE YOU PREGNANT?!!!??" She screams and stands up "NO! I'VE NEVER EVEN---- JUST NO!" I yell and pull her down. I hear afew snickers and chuckles but I ignore it. "you always have ale in the morning, why not now?" She asks me, tilting her head in confusion "I'm not hanging to well this mornin'." I say and Diane holds me some water out. I take it and sip it. "Ok! What are we all gonna do today?" I hear meliodas jump on a table and say "I'm... Not doing.. Anything today..." Ban groans with tired eyes. "Yes you are! Here! Why don't we all just go hunting for game and berries today?" Meliodas says enthusiastically. I groan and hit my head on the table "Finne..." We all say tiredly.

AERIN'S POV

I walk through the woods, looking for absolutely anything I can take. I hold my bow in one hand and basket in the other. I look around and spot a some game! Yes! It's a deer too! I run behind a tree and aim my bow. Once it's in perfect shot I let go and the deer falls down. "Good going" I hear a voice and turn to see Ban "oh.. Uh thanks" I say remembering last night. I tuck a hair behind my ear and stand up, walking towards the deer. He follows me "So.... Sorry about the other night" he says
"Whatever it's fine." I say not wanting to engage in it. I get to the deer and hoist I over my shoulder "Want me to carry it?" Ban says. It is heavy... But I can do it anyway. I walk with the deer over my shoulder and ban by my side. After a while, it gets abit more heavy and I slow down. Ban must've noticed and slowed down with me.

We walk and I feel my knees buckle. This can't be good. I accidentally twist as I'm trying to stay up and not only does the deer fall off of my shoulder, I wack into Bans chest "You ok?" he asks. I pull away "Uh! Yea! I'm ok! I just..." I say but my words trail off with embarrassment. Ban picks the deer up with ease. Hmph. I could've done that...

HIKARI'S POV

I skip in the wind through the wood. It's a really lovely day today. My eyes scan the wood and I spot a beautiful Berry bush. Bingo! U run over and put my basket by my side. I start to pick the berries and put them in my basket. I hear footsteps and assume it's someone passing by so I ignore it until it grabs my arm tightly. I turn around to see a man I didn't know and 2 others. "Get off. I ain't in the mood" I say. Rolling my eyes and reaching for my whip. "Looking for this?" I hear a woman's voice mock. I look up at a tree to my left. She has MY whip! "GIVE it back! That's mine!!!" I raise my voice. I feel around for another weapon but I left the rest at home. I get hoisted up. "I SAID GET OFF!!" I scream being put over his shoulder. I knee him in the face but he just hits me against the tree. That took a tole on my head. Everything seems blurry and I feel liquid running down my head. I assume blood... I try to kick but miss. All of a sudden people are dropping like flies around me. What's going on? I cant see enough. Until the person who had me dropped me with a grunt. I feel someone catch me and look up to vaguely see blonde hair and.... Green emerald eyes! It's meliodas. Jeez...

He sits me up against the tree and clips my whip back onto my belt "I'll finish collecting these then take you back" He says. I can see better now but my eyes are closed because of my headache. I don't hear him pick berries. "I didn't notice you were bleeding..." He says and I hear ripping. He tears off a piece of his top. He cups my cheek with his right hand and dabs the cut on my head with his left hand. I feel my face but don't care if I go red "I'm sorry you had to come and get me... I didn't think anythang would happen.." I slurr. He smiles at me "Well, it's fine. Anything can happen." He says finishing up my head.

AERIN'S POV

I help ban put the deer on the bar table. We laugh and talk until the door swings open and meliodas is having to carry Hikari?! "WHAT HAPPENED??!" I ask running over. Meliodas pulls her away from me "Assassins happened. I'LL look after her." Meliodas sounds so assertive. I dont question it and neither does ban. He takes her upstairs. I sink down into a chair "Who knew it'd be Ari of all people to get attacked. I hate that it's always the sweetest ones..." I sigh. Ban puts a hand on my back and I feel my face burn red,AGAIN! UGGGHHHH!

Everyone floods in as the day grows later and later. Meliodas walks downstairs without Hikari. "she's asleep. I'm not waking her up." he says sitting at a table. "Oh! Guys I almost forgot! My brothers coming today--- well, tonight." I say eagerly "Nice. We have a spare room if hes staying" Meliodas says. Hes listening but seems completely preoccupied in his head. I feel bad. He cares for the girl. I feel Diane beside me push my arm I fall into Ban "DIANE!!" I squeal. She giggles and my eyes dart to king unwillingly. He seems mad... Huh... He whispers something to Elaine and she whispers back I wonder what about. All of a sudden there's a tap at the door "Come in?" Meliodas yells from the table. The door swings open and incomes Erik! "Brother! Hi!" I say and run up to him, hugging him tightly. Everyone seems confused but happy.

We all talk for a while. Erik and Ban seem to be getting along very well. It's nice to see. I glance over to where Meliodas was and notice that Hikari's now downstairs. He's holding her up with a hand on her back while she drinks something. I'm not sure what it is. I see Elizabeth look sadly beside him. Hikari must've noticed becshe shakes Meliodas' hand off and puts his other one on Elizabeth's shoulder. I sigh and turn back to my brother and Ban. They're laughing and drinking. Its like they've always known eachother.
