Evan's P.O.V.
After I had dropped Mila home, I drove to my house. It was a long drive before I was there. I took the short cut though. I walked in and went straight to my room.
I saw Melanie in the living room. She was busy watching this show on Netflix. It's called "No Good Nick". I don't know what it is about but she is like extremely into it.
I pulled out my second to top drawer that was in front of my bed. I grabbed my dark blue sweats. I then closed the drawer and threw the pants on the bed. As I was taking off my shirt, I was surprised by my sister at the front door.
"Jesus. Melanie, you can't sneak up on me like that. I told you this already, doing that is now not an option anymore. And that is because......"
"I get it. Girls. Well, you barely bring anyone home since the last girl you were with." She said. My mind wonder off as I thought about her. I haven't been able to say her name for years. It happened when I was younger but it still haunts me til' this day.
"Yea, well, that's gonna be changing. I met someone who is amazing and when the moment comes, my door is off limits. If you need me for something, knock and wait ten seconds before opening the door." I told her. She rolled her eyes but non the less nodded.
"Anyways, we both got school tomorrow and I know someone is always grumpy when she doesn't get enough sleep. Go to sleep." I said. She then said good night as I said the same thing back.
I switched my pants and then hopped into bed, pulling the covers over me. I closed my eyes and let my mind wander. I then kind of realized....I have a girlfriend.
A beautiful and amazingly talented girlfriend. I am truly happy she gave me this chance and I promise to her and myself, I won't let her down.
*******
The next morning, I woke up. I glanced at the clock I have next to me that is on top of my bedside table. I looked shocked neither the less to say. I was late.
Crap!
I rushed to the bathroom and did my normal routine. I then quickly afterwards went to my drawer and found something to wear. At this point, all I needed was a pants and a shirt. Also, a jacket but I could just grab my "go to jacket". I call it that because it has always been the jacket I coincidentally choose and since then I have called it my "go to jacket".
After finally getting ready, I walked out of my room and rushed downstairs. I grabbed a banana from the counter and left the house. Though, not before saying bye to my mom and Mel.
I got in my car and drove to school. I made sure Mila didn't need a ride because I didn't want to seem like an ass of a boyfriend. That would really hurt my reputation in terms of being a good boyfriend.
As I reached Clover Gardens high school, I could see that the parking lot was basically full.
Great.
I found parking and hurried into the school building. Not to mention, my first period class was on the second floor on the other side of the school.
Also another big great.
This morning couldn't be any worse.
I finally reached my class and Mrs. Harrison spoke, "Mr. Stevens, can you tell me why you are late for my class, this fine morning?"
"I woke up late." Is the only thing I said. She or the whole class didn't need a run down of my life. Throughout the past of my high school years, I have managed to keep school and my private life separate.
And that was because I didn't really have relationships. Well besides her but other than her, yea, I was pretty much a loner in that department.
"Okay, Mr. Stevens. Please, next time, just remind your clock to go off earlier than usual." She spoke. The class snickered at what she had said. "Now, back to what I was saying." As she continued to lecture us about math and whatnot, I would get the usual stares.
