Evan's P.O.V.

Well, here I am where I never thought I'd be. I have an amazing and absolutely gorgeous girlfriend that I am so happy to have in my life. I mean since she has been in my life, I have been nothing but happy that she has. However, my parents just brought my mood down so many levels, it's not even funny.

I was happy. For once, I was fucking happy and they ruined it. But I can't really blame my mother honestly. My dad has not been treating her like how she deserves for years now. Not to mention he had an affair with a woman who is like honestly just after his money.

But it's okay. I am going to be okay. My mom is going to be okay.

After the devastation that came about in our family, my dad was stupid enough to allow my mom to get whatever financial situations sorted. Not realizing what that meant, my mom got the following bank accounts transported to another.

Her personal accounts along with her professional one. Her savings she had saved up for any emergency or if anything, she could use it to do whatever she pleases to do with it. She also had Mel and I's saving accounts that my dad and her both put money into it. Since she went with him to get those accounts, they never asked for credentials. As for the fact that they might tell my father, well, it'll be done before he could even do anything.

I guess she somehow knew that if there was a possibility of this happening, she wanted to go with him so, in that case if he tried to fight her on it, it would be a lost cost.

After all of it was transported to another account in her maiden name, she then made sure that our father had no right of access to it. And that whatever he said, is not true. They assured her that the account would be safe and protected. She was the only one that was able to to receive anything from this account.

Being a lawyer and whatnot, I think this is the reason she was able to do this without losing too much from the marriage. She knew she had to do this before it was too late. My father on the other hand, is just plain dumb. Not that I don't think my mom did the wrong thing but I think if my father was trying to make my mom suffer, he should've probably realized that she is a LAWYER. Not some pathetic house wife whom makes him dinner occasionally and takes care of us.

Jesse, my best friend since I can only remember came over. "Hey, I heard what happened. I am really sorry." He said as he walked in the game room and lunged himself right next to me.

"Wait? How did you hear about this?" I asked as I paused the game.

"Well, your dad was caught with another woman. And also, your mom told my mom....so, yea." He said.

I gave him a nod that meant I understood. I then carried on with my game as Jesse watched. We didn't talk much. Just played.

Suddenly, the door bell rang.

I groaned as I went to the door and opened it to see Mila here. She hasn't been here a lot. I would mostly go to her house or we'd be on a date. It was very amazing to know that she could still make me more attracted to her than before.

I also realized that after spending so much time with her, she rarely drinks juice or soda. It's always water. She only drinks soda or juice because she feels that the water given to her has a bad taste. Meaning tap water. And every time she gets a gruesome taste in her mouth that she can't betray, it never sits well with her. I also learned that she quit going to classes for dance because she felt that it put a strain on her parents so that's why instead of dancing she works. She said that she could always just go to a school for arts but it depends on how everything goes. So far, she has raised about 5 grand this far working there for about a year in a half.
