Evan's P.O.V.

This morning I woke up and I got ready for school. When I got there, I saw a bunch of prom posters up.

I scoffed. I didn't even realize it was that time of the year until now. As I walked past them, I came across my locker. I opened it and got out my books. Like on cue, Mila and Scar with Jess came.

"Hey." Mila said.

I closed my locker. "Hey."

"Okay, this is too sad. You guys were just talking the other day. Are you going to Prom or not." Scar said.

"Um....I don't know anymore. Maybe." I said.

"Oh come on, dude. It's Prom. You can't miss that one important moment in your life." Jess said.

"Yea, just come. Have a good time." Scar spoke.

"Okay, fine. I'll see what I can do." I told them.

The superintendent then walked up to me and asked to talk to me. I nodded.

"So, I showed the recording to the board and they were surprise non the less, not happy. There will be a meeting later today and they want you to be their. Ask you some questions. You won't get in trouble but however, the more honest you are, the more trouble Principal Webber is in." He said. I nodded as I walked the other way where the superintendent led us to.

"What was that about?" Jess asked.

"I'll tell you later." I said.

He shrugged as we walked to class. I have had a lot of work to catch up on. Luckily my GPA wasn't that badly decreased.

For the rest of the day, it was normal. Class was class. It was finally the end of the day. I was about to head to where the meeting was going to be. Suddenly, Jess and the girls ran up to me.

"Hey so you going to tell us what's going on?" He asked.

I then brought them to a room. No one was in it. I then took out my phone and went to the recording.

When it was done, the reaction on there faces said it all. "Principal Webber blackmailed you." Mila asked.

"Yea, basically. He figured that was the only way he'd get me to join the football team but I had other things planned out." I said.

"When did this even happen." She asked.

"Remember when I told you that he wanted me to join the team." I retorted. She nodded and then got the realization look on her face.

"That was like months ago. And you had this the whole time." She said.

I nodded.

"I am surprise you didn't use it during your so not good phase." Jess said.

"Oh trust me, I wanted to. But then I thought if I was ever to come out of my.....funk, I'd love to use it during my sober stage. It would just be so much sweeter. Anyways, I got to go. I have to be at a meeting they are holding." I said. I walked out of the room. They followed behind as I went one way and they went the other.

As soon as I reached, the superintendent breathed in a sign of relief. "I thought you decided not to show last minute." He said.

"Yea right. Look, I have nothing against him but I want him to know that I was the wrong guy to mess with." I said. He looked kind of worried but non the less, we walked in the room. Principal Webber was sitting across from the table. He looked confused.

The meeting began as they did the introductions of the board members. The superintendent spoke first.

"Thank you for coming here today. What we do as a united front is be able to make sure that our future is set bright and the students are able to become what they need to, to succeed. It's because of all of you that they do. So, give a round applause to yourselves." He started.
