The next morning when I woke up, for a whole minute I didn't even remember anything from the day before's events. I literally thought I was waking up in my own room and would as it is a Sunday morning and no work, I would just work on my upcomming book.

But when I actually started noticing the contents of the room I was in, that's when the situation hit me like a whiplash. It was a much larger bedroom with grey painted walls, black coloured furniture, and everything just differing between those dark colours. The only thing that had a different color were the white curtains which were covering the window and bathing the room in darkness.

I pulled the duvet away from my body and stepped out of the bed slowly. Walking towards the window, I parted the curtains and almost went blind when a full blown bucket of sunlight was thrown on my face.

It wasn't a morning sunshine. It looked it was afternoon right now.

Pinching the bridge of my nose I wondered how long I was knocked out for. I also thought about what to do next. Its not like I had any choice anyways but still. It's always good to think things are in your control even when they aren't and prevent all that jazz of panicking.

The door to the the room creaked open. I flinched slightly before watching someone familiar enter the room. It's not like I knew their faces but I perfectly knew who he was.

It was the bald man.

He walked in and stood at the entrance. He didn't do anything and yet I felt him glowering at me from under that mask. My eyes quickly went to my ankle to see if the shock giving device was still there but I was no longer present. Breathing a sigh of relief, I now worried about this man in front of me.

"Here's your clothes." He said in a placebo tone, taking out a bag of clothes from God knwos where. "Get freshened up and come down."

And with that he left. Quickly freshening up, I looked at the clothes he gave and they were like normal sweatshirts and pants. Relieved that it wasn't some uncomfortable clothing, I put them on, fix my hair and proceed downstairs.

When earlier I had looked at my face, I saw a exhausted girl with red eyes, huge dark circles and dry crusty lips staring back at me. I didn't have any makeup with me so I couldn't even fix me. It's not like I needed to anyways because I was literally going to meet some masked weirdos. I just needed to do the job, get out of this mess and go home back to my life.

Because the place was so big, I didn't even know where to go. So I just decided to wander around till I find someone or something to guide me. When I came across this huge pair of metal doors, it perked my interest up.

I checked if it's unlocked by chance and to my delight, it actually was. Slightly feeling excited, I pushed the door carefully not to make any noise. The inside was completely dark. Everything was so silent that I felt if I breathed too hard, the sound would echo throughout the place.

But before I could creep in more, a hand wrapped itself around my waist and pulled me out of the door. I shrieked loudly, moving my arms in karate moves till I heard the door lock and then turned to my captor.

"Dom? What the hell?"

He sounded seriously pissed. "That's what j should be asking you. What the fuck are you doing here? Weren't you called below?"

His mask, his hands, his clothes were all covered with...blood. Noticing me checking him out, he barked, "Go downstairs right now. Don't roam around where you aren't supposed to!"

"Why you gotta shout like that? What are you hiding?" I narrowed my eyes, looking at him suspiciously. "Are you...killing people in there?"

He looked like he was staring me dead in the eye before he stalked in super close to me and whispered in my ears, "The day you find out what's in that room is the day you realise you are fucked. So go on your merry way and do your job."
