Chapter 4: Home

"Jimin, I'm home!"

Ella walked into the living room to find a very sleepy Jimin sprawled on the couch.

Her heart leapt out of her chest repeatedly as she approached her love. Carefully she wrapped her arms around the tired man's body and managed to fit into the little space of the couch.

His cheek pressed onto her head as she snuggled in closer. His scent, his aura brought her home.

He was her home.

Slowly, Jimin moved slightly to tell her that he was awake. Ella eagerly looked at his handsome face. His sparkling eyes reminded her of galaxies and the universe.

"Hey."

The lethargic man grumbled in response. A fit of giggles escaped her mouth. He always seemed so cute when he woke up.

"Why so late?" Jimin asked as he snaked an arm around her waist, pulling her closer.

Ella buried her face into his neck as she mumbled tiredly, "I was helping out a friend."

"Mmh."

The room grew silent as the two lovers slowly started to doze off. Their company proved enough for both of them. The warmth radiating from their bodies acted as a blanket.

The moon was in full view, shining in all its glory.

Ella remained in the arms of her one and only love, breathing him in, loving him like it was her last.

*****

The weekend had finally come to its end.

The streets started bustling with hurried people. They almost hissed as the sun hit their face after two days of cooping into their homes. The morning rushed like an engine as the adults desperately ran to their workplaces, while the children ran to catch the bus.

Ella walked on the pavement with a cup of coffee in her hand. Her hair remained in a loose ponytail as her casual blazer continuously dropped from her shoulders.

As her mind became occupied with all events that she had to take care of in the school, someone had carelessly bumped into her shoulder.

Upon looking up, her eyes widened in recognition.

"Hey, Taehyung. You're off to work?"

Taehyung, dressed smartly in his work uniform, carried an apron in his hand as he smiled back at Ella.

"Yeah. I'm actually late so I've got to run."

"Of course. I'll meet you at Elmo's, yeah?"

Taehyung nodded his head slowly out of exhaustion. Sleep was written all over his face. Just as they were going to part, the man spoke, "I never got your number."

Ella looked back at him, almost proud that he had initiated a step towards their growing friendship.

They happily exchanged numbers and went on their ways.
