Down the trouble off we go

The start of something

FINALLY Peter got hold of himself and said that he has given it to dastepe upon hearing this David definitely got disappointed while seemed to be thinking hard about something. With such a mysterious, silent and somewhat awkward atmosphere Peter himself decided to add up his backstory regarding how he  found zogger-bite " dastepe got this device from my aunt before she left for a mission she never returned from. Dastepe later got the news of the agency destroying these devices. You see at that time their top 14 spies were entrusted with this modern device yet with ancient roots , including my aunt but she gave it to dastepe before leaving.  He had kept it in the attic , I came over it in a Locked box . I realised that it was a powerful device and after some research which may or may not include the shameful deed of eavesdropping...(Charlotte sharply looked at Peter) but never mind I found it after ALOT(he emphasized it without meeting Charlotte's eye) of hardwork and came running to the old house that day." After this story some eyebrows rose as Charlotte said " you just found it... I mean just like that dont you think it should have been more ...um ... difficult. " Peter laughed and said "I spent 10 years of my life finding this device . I knew about it from my childhood how much more harder do you think it could possibly have bee-"
"That's not what I mean ." Came Charlotte with a pinch of rage in her voice .
"Well what else did you mean ?" Came Peter's voice in the same tone.
Charlotte realised where the conversation was headed and took a deep breath to calmly say
" I mean it might be a prototype."
"What!" came the outrageous voice of Peter but before the eerie conversation could continue David came to the rescue clarifying his opinion
" I think Charlotte's right ."

Peter didn't say anything while Charlotte had a blunt expression something she had on her face when thinking alot or not thinking at all.
David looked at them innocently and said " I mean maybe we should consult with grandpa Steve there isn't any other way to answer this question "
Peter who had turned his face away from David looked back at him upon hearing this and asked the need of finding 'another way ' which was confronted by Charlotte who said " I was here for a mission and-"
she wanted to say 'not keeping up with friendships' but instead chose the words
"that's my first priority ... my dad had this device as well but it's weird that I never noticed the importance it could have in this mission . Now I realise that may be by finding the actual zogger-bite we could solve the case and save my dad and you aunt." She said looking at Peter with an expression which somehow said 'please'
"I think we should first find its function and how to use it ." David said in a voice that said 'I-am-here'
They both looked anxiously at Peter who gave a trying-to-be-hard look but eventually gave in with a sigh. Next on the suggestion of Peter the trio went to mr. Steve who was sitting on a chair near a corner of the kitchen chit-chatting with Mrs. Kate Lawrence and Mr. Christain Wood. Though they (Charlotte,Peter and David) came to discuss something very important and clandestine yet they got amused by the conversation of the old trio which started from Mr. Christain Wood
" oh! Literary Mr. Steve I don't want you to ...to poke around my food like that." Spits came out of his mouth as he spoke with his mouthful in the reply of which

Mrs. Kate Lawrence said " oh! Nonsense Christain it's time you put that food aside. One more bite and I swear you'll blow up like a balloon and we'll have to prick you every time that happens ."

"Ofcourse " came the obvious voice of Mr. Steve who added
" have some mercy on that belly pal ! Or else we'll need a whole spinning wheel to bring you back to your normal size. "
The line worked as insult to injury causing Mr. Christain's chin to touch the roof as he said
"All as well I'd love being sleeping beauty ."
"Correction "
Came Mr. Steve's rising voice as Mrs. Kate Lawrence finished the sentence
"Eating beauty!"

Silence
--
Fell with the Conversation ending at such a note and the old trio saw
-or better-
noticed the young trio and saw
Peter with a mouth wide open which seemed as if it would take 3 hours to close.
David had the most surprised smile on his face with a look which said "unbelievable."
As for Charlotte she gave a small but loud 'ha!' And went on to say in a British accent " I highly doubt if Mr. Wood is a beauty at all he is rather a  .... a prince ...huh! Perhaps uncle Steve ( Peter rose an eyebrow and David had a smirk on his face)we came here to tell you something. " she changed her tone and her sentence mid-way. 
At the comment Mr. Wood seemed pleased and said " oh! ofcourse darling he's all yours. "
"As if I'm your prisoner... or property ." Mr. Steve said in reply with a serious face while not meeting his mate's eye on the other hand Mrs. Kate Lawrence sighed and left the place. Mr. Steve then stood up and followed the teenagers as the trio led him to his room while Mr. Wood got busy putting the dishes back in their place.
