Season 1: Chapter 8
Making a DealKehlani's POV
Yesterday was... scary. When Trevor and Aaron had the chance to pin me down, my whole life flashed before my eyes. I was scared to death especially to have both of them. I was glad they asked me before they did anything. I was so fact to disagree to what they wanted to do to me. Aaron was mad because Trevor had gotten something out of me and he hadn't.
It's the next day and it's like... 3 in the morning? Or 4? I don't know. I've been out in the living room for what seems like an hour, I came out here at around 2. It didn't help that I didn't have a phone where I went, I just had to depend on the clock beside my bed. Aaron and Trev left to somewhere, my brother had to go too cause he was beta, of course.
Aaron mind linked me before I went to sleep the previous day, he was telling me that the three had to leave to go to the pack office, it was practically a place where you could store almost hundreds of prisoners. At least that's what Aaron told me.
I looked around and I noticed the microwave. The time was displayed on the clock, which read 4:13 A.M. Time was really going by slow. I wanted to go out and go for a walk but I was just scared to find out that Aaron or Trevor will find out or even my brother, but I really needed it. I needed to get my mind off of things so I went back upstairs to change into some sweatpants and a loose jacket which hung right above my waistline.
I walked out, the cold and fresh air hit my skin and flew through my hair. I already felt relaxed. But then I smelled something. It was like a wolf but someone who didn't belong to the pack or at least no one I haven't smelled before. I opened the door and slipped on the boots I saw that I left down here when I came back. I walked out and the smell got stronger as I walked into the woods. It was hard to keep up from where the smell came from because the smell of leaves and water from the rain had mixed in with it. I stepped cautiously. My boots were heavy duty and any wolf could hear from a mile away. I stopped next to a tree and listened to my surroundings, carefully. I heard very quiet footsteps that were about 2 to 3 miles away. They were quiet but I could hear them clearly. Having to be a healing wolf came with heightened senses. They started to get louder. I walked toward them. Maybe it was Aaron, Trev, and Vi coming back with a new pack members but I couldn't smell they and when it came to their smell my wolf would know but she's scared. She knows something will happen. I heard the footsteps stop. I hid behind a tree, my heart was beating hard again my chest.
"We know you're there," A voice yelled loud enough for only me and whoever they were with to hear.
I was digging my nails into my arm, telling myself not to say anything.
"I am Alpha Jake, Alpha of the Blood Pack, we are not here to harm you, we just want to talk to Alpha Aaron," I shivered at the sound of Aaron's name.
I was trying so hard not to mind link him, maybe I could persuade this guy. I had confidence but I was still scared to death.
"Are you going to hurt them?" A said, loud enough for him to hear.
I heard footsteps shifting, closer. I stealthily hopped up into the tree in case this man tried to attack me by surprise. I could see them.
"We are not going to hurt them, we just want to talk," The man who talked was tall, though it was hard to see his features.
"What if I make a deal with you?"
The man looked surprised, a grin was slowly creeping on his lips.
"What kind of deal?" He asked, he followed my voice and sent people towards the way I was.
"Tell your men to stand back, I can see them and you," I commanded, he was surprised looking around cautiously, his men retreated back to him.
"So what's the deal?" He asked, his arms now crossed.
I thought to my self for a second, this isn't a good situation for one person to be persuading another pack let alone more than how much there were. What if I turn myself in? So they can leave... oh crap I don't know the name of the pack. I face palmed. They looked towards my way.
"Before I start the deal, what is it that you have with this pack?" I asked, shifting slowly enough to not make a sound.
"The Dark Dawn pack has taken something, matter of fact, someone," His voice dropped with venom and he growled.
"What if I trade myself in for whomever they took?"
His face held surprise and he looked towards my direction again.
"What if this-"
"It's not a trap, trust me, I'm doing this for the sake of the pack," I interrupted him.
"I'll take this deal, on one condition only,"
I though in my head for numerous things he would would throw at me, I grew nervous and my hands started to shake.
'Lani? Where are you?'
Oh no. Oh no, no, no, no, no.
"You become the Luna of my pack,"
My heart dropped and I felt like crying but I needed to stay strong. I shook my head to get my thoughts out of my head.
'Kehlani Sanchez, where the hell are you?' My brothers voice echoed through my head.
It's now or never.
"Come towards this tree," I said watching him.
My heart became loud as he walked closer. He stopped right in front of it looking up at me but I knew he couldn't see anything.
"Can you catch me?" I looked down and he hummed his response.
His arms spread open, and I jumped down and fell into his arms. My hair fell out of it's loose bun it was in cause I hadn't brung a hair tie. His face was now clear to me. His hair was jet black and his eyes were a beautiful shade of brown or more like hazel. I wrapped my hands around his neck. Trailing my hands slowly across his chest and onto his neck. I felt the growls emanating from his chest. He held me closer and inhaled my scent.
"You're mine now, who ever had you before, may never be able to get you back," His eyes shifted to black as he set me down.
I felt his wolf clawing to come out and just claim me as his. He sniffed me again and smelled my marks that were made from Trevor and Aaron. I gulped and traced his fingers against them. I shivered at his touch, it was uncomfortable but it was like I knew him and it was okay.
'WHERE ARE YOU!' Aaron yelled into my head.
I cringed and closed my eyes tightly. I looked up and that's when I noticed it.
Jake. Jake Taylor. No fucking way it was him.
"We need to go," I whispered, pushing him off of me softly.
He nodded and we left just like that. He turned into his wolf. It was a beautiful black wolf and his eyes stood out and shined in the moonlight.
'Get on,' I climbed on his back and clutched the hair near his neck.
He started running and since he was in his wolf form he was fast than the others. He practically bolted to wherever he was taking me.
Making a Deal.
