**Akela's POV**

It's been two weeks since I met Caleb. I've become good friends with Jessica and Abigail; Bethany and her cronies, Hannah and Kristen, still glare whenever they see me; Dylan, Chris, and Logan have been really nice to me; I've seen Zach twice more although he has stayed away from Caleb and me. It turns out that he lives away from the compound like Chris and Dylan do; Tyler spends his time telling me stories and hunting in the woods; and I've fallen head over heels for Caleb.

Over the past two weeks, Caleb and I have spent almost every minute together getting to know each other. We slept together in Caleb's room every night, which had been completely re-decorated since he wrecked it. We always lay spooned together but we never did anything more physical than that, since Logan caught us last time, other than a quick kiss here and there. Caleb said he wanted me to feel more comfortable before we go any farther.

We had been training every day from eight to three, with short brakes every hour, for five days a week. Training is sometimes in wolf form and other times in human form. Normally it is one-on-one but occasionally they go in groups. Caleb continuously tried to keep me away from the action for my "safety". This day was no exception.

I was sitting in Caleb's lap as we watched Bethany and Logan sparing. Chris was absent today. Logan was stronger but Bethany was much quicker. They were currently fighting as wolves. Bethany quickly dodged Logan's attack and landed on his back. Logan rolled over pinning Bethany to the ground. He stood back up and clamped her throat lightly between his teeth, ending the match.

Jessica stood up saying she would go next and Caleb began to stand also when I pulled him back down. I gave him my best puppy dog eyes before I spoke. "Caleb, can I please go?"

He groaned. "We go over this every day. I can't risk you getting hurt."

"Please?" I begged.

"I won't hurt her," Jessica said.

"Please?" I begged again. I could feel Caleb wearing down.

"Okay," he sighed. "But I will kill you if you hurt her," he said addressing Jessica.

"Yes!" shouted Logan. We all looked at him like he was crazy. "What? I wanted to see her fight."

I quickly kissed Caleb on the lips before standing. Jessica and I went to the enclosed outdoor changing area to undress so that when we shifted, we wouldn't rip our clothes. I quickly shifted to my pure white wolf form and waited for Jessica to finish her shift. When Jessica stood, we walked back to the group.

Jessica and I faced each other and we began circling. Over than past weeks, I've learned that when I shift to my wolf form I can mindspeak with the rest of the pack if they're in their wolf forms. "I'll go easy on -" Jessica hadn't finished talking when I followed my instincts and pounced bringing her to the ground. Jessica kicked me in the stomach a couple feet away from her and stood shaking her fur out.

"That wasn't fair --" I pounced again. She was more prepared this time and managed to avoid me. She growled. Suddenly, Jessica tensed and her eyes locked on something far behind me. I took the opportunity to pin her down and clamp my teeth around her throat.

I was ecstatic that I won my first fight in wolf form and was about to run to Caleb to celebrate when I was suddenly thrown to the ground, teeth gripped my scruff, and I was shaken until I heard a ringing in my ears.

I was still disoriented when the wolf was thrown off me. I recognized Caleb's growl and turned my head to see a very pissed off Logan and Caleb holding down a struggling grey wolf. I could feel Caleb's wolf trying to get his to shift and Caleb's battle to stay in human form. If he shifted, her would be vulnerable right after. Instead of shifting, Caleb resorted to repeatedly punching the wolf. Jessica struggled to get free from Chris and Abigail's arms.

'Caleb,' I called trying to get him to stop. Suddenly, my head became clear and I completely understood what was going on. I shifted to my human form, ran to Caleb, and gripped his shoulders.

Caleb growled at my naked form as he pulled me with his to the changing rooms. I explained what was happening as I dressed.

"Jessica froze and got this far away look in her eyes right before I tackled her. That wolf that attacked me was male right?"

"Yes?" Caleb said huskily as his eyes moved over my exposed body. His answer confirmed my suspicions. There was no other reason for a random wolf to attack me when people who would defend me surrounded me. Caleb has taught me a lot about soul mates over the past weeks and I felt sure that I was right.

"I think Jessica and the male are mates. Why else would Jess freeze and then a random wolf come and attack me?"

"Leave him be," I added when I sill heard Caleb's loud thoughts about killing the wolf. "You would do the same thing for me. In fact you did do the same thing. Leave the wolf be."

I ended my speech with a kiss to Caleb. What was supposed to be a quick kiss quickly turned into much more as our control burst. We had both been trying to hold ourselves back throughout the weeks so that we could get to know each other better.

Caleb pushed me back and caged me between his body and the wall. His thighs straddled my hips. Caleb thrust his tongue into my mouth and through his mind, I could tell that it was not the only thing that he would like to thrust into my body. My breath caught in my throat as he trailed kisses down my neck and then paused to suck near my shoulder when his wolf urged him to leave his mark.

Caleb hands tailed across by bare skin. My shirt lay forgotten on the floor. Nimble fingers reached around my to unclasp my bra and quickly pull it off. Caleb's lips, already at my shoulder, dipped further down to my chest. His warm breath brushed across my right nipple. His right hand reached up to grasp my left nipple at the same time his wet mouth covered my right.

I could feel my panties filling with wetness as he caressed me sending bolts of pleasure through my body. I moaned as his teeth scraped across my hardened nipple and my fingers twisted in his hair. Suddenly, I heard as gasp from the door. Instantly, Caleb quick stood erect and covered my exposed body with his. He growled at the intruder at the door.

"I'm so sorry," I heard Abigail squeal as she left. Caleb sighed in pain and mumbled about him killing the next person who interrupted us as I scrambled for my bra and shirt as my cheeks flushed crimson. Once dressed, I waited for Caleb and my breathing to slow before I grabbed his hand and pulled him toward the door. Abigail was standing right outside rubbing her eyes and looking a very dark red. She glanced up at us and blushed ever darker.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't know you guy were in there. I was just going to get Jess' clothes so she can shift back. She won't leave the other wolf's sight and the other wolf can't leave our sight since he attacked you. You know, I think that other wolf is Jess' mate. Chris said that his name is Brent and he's new around here -," Abby rambled nervously.

"Just go get Jess' clothes," I said and Abby rushed off in embarrassment to the room that Caleb and I where just in. I pulled Caleb along behind me back to where the group stood. Brent and Jess were still in their wolf forms and were standing next to each other. Caleb glared at the grey wolf that was Brent. Jess, the black wolf, nudged Brent when he growled back at Caleb. I squeezed Caleb's hand trying to get him to relax.

Abby returned with Jess' clothes and a pair of sweatpants for Brent. Brent shifted back first and quickly put the sweatpants on while all the girls had their eyes closed. Brent blocked Jess from everyone's view as she shifted back and dressed while the guys had their eyes closed. I hadn't been able to keep my eyes off of Brent's face since he shifted back, though. He looked so familiar.

Caleb growled and pulled me back to him when I took a step forward toward Brent. I lightly brushed my lips across Caleb's as a reassurance before pulling out of his grip and approaching Brent. Brent looked nervous.

I reached Brent and stared into his green eyes. "You look so familiar," I said. Brent looked even more nervous. "You look just like the man in my mom's favorite photo, except for your eyes. They belong to the little boy. Bu - but you can't be. Yet you have the same unique name: Brent, short for Brenton. Brenton - my brother."
