{32} A Werewolf Mate in the Loup Garou Forest

**Akela's POV**

Caleb led me outside into a secluded area where his father was waiting alone. He smiled when he saw us and beckoned us over. "Hello again, Akela," he said smirking. "What did you do to cause my son to run back inside during our conversation?"

I blushed. "I was giving Tyler a bath.' Caleb's father let out a bellowing laugh. Caleb just growled.

"Well, I see Tyler's still alive," Caleb's father said still laughing. I could hear Tyler whine behind me where he was lying on the ground watching us.

"So, we should get started with the questions," Caleb's father said after he finished laughing. "Let's start with some easier ones first so that I can get to know you. They are many things that have everyone curious. First, how can you speak to Tyler? He's a rouge."

"Tyler thinks it's because his mate died, but he was somehow saved," I replied.

"That's impossible," Caleb's father interrupted.

"Tyler thinks his soul bonded to mine in order to keep him sane."

"I find it hard to believe that someone could have two soul mates. I'll have one of my pack members research it,"  

Caleb's father skeptically replied. "By the way, you can call me Connor. I'm the alpha of the Rafe pack and Caleb's father."

"Connor, do you know who the wolves were that killed my mom?" I asked.

"I didn't recognize any of the scents," Caleb replied for his father.

"Oh," I mumbled.

"We'll find them, I promise," Caleb promised. "But, what happened before I got there?" Caleb asked.

"Well," I replied, "I got home and when I walked in, I immediately knew something was wrong. I found my mom lying on the floor surrounded by wolves. I don't remember much after that. I only remember seeing my body shift into a tiger in the mirror. The next thing I remember is waking up with you coming towards me." Tears were rolling down my face.

"You scared the crap out of me. First my mom gets attacked and killed by wolves. Then I'm lying naked in the woods with a wolf coming straight at me. You made me run off a waterfall."

"I'm sorry," Caleb said his voice full of sorrow.

"It's okay. You didn't mean to scare me."

"When was your first shift?" Connor interrupted our staring and made me look at him.

"That WAS my first shift," I answered.

"What?!" Caleb said shocked. "How were you able to fight off so many wolves without training? You were even able to take down my father."

"I don't know," I whispered. "I just got mad and I could feel power surging through my body."

"Do you mind me asking what your parents were?" Connor asked.

"My mom was able to predict the future, but I don't know what my father was. He left us when I was born. He took my brother with him."

"Seers are rare. I have heard of seers mating with werewolves. Their children were immediately killed, though because they were feared to be immensely strong. I thought seers were all extinct, though. What powers do you have? ............ If any that is."

"Well, my mother predicted things through paintings, but I either have visions while I'm sleeping, or I'm awake and pass out. My eyes also change color with my moods. I can't think of any other 'powers' other than being able to shift into animals."
