**Akela's POV**
I jumped up ready to attack the man, but Caleb rose just as quickly and stood in front of me. He looked at me with his pleading teal eyes. I was lost as I looked into them. The teal seemed to go on and on forever. His gaze burned with love and lust, but I couldn't seem to look away.
Suddenly, I felt something rubbing my head. I went to pull away, but I realized it was only Caleb's hand. It sent jolts of electricity pulsing through my body, feeling absolutely amazing. I leaned into his touch and purred in satisfaction. He chuckled at my reaction before pulling his hand away and turning around. "Father," he said in a low tone, speaking to the man whom called him. I looked back and forth between them and could see the similarities in their appearance, but I could not see how the man in front of me could possibly be old enough to have a son Caleb's age, unless he got a girl pregnant when he was twelve.
"Caleb," the man growled again," who is this and why is she on our territory? More importantly, what are you doing protecting her? She had no right to attack the alpha and should be punished."
Caleb's throat rumbled and he started shaking uncontrollably. Somehow, I felt a connection to him and could tell how angry he was. I couldn't figure out what made him so angry. Did he not want to be seen protecting me? That thought hurt me, but I knew he probably didn't see anything in me anyways.
I stepped forward and nudged Caleb's back with my nose. His shaking slowed, but didn't stop completely. I walked around in front of his body and rubbed my side against his like a cat would, trying to calm him down. He suddenly stopped shaking and grabbed onto my back pulling me against him. His firm grip held me still.
Suddenly, a surge of lust shot through my body causing me to purr. Caleb's hands gripped me tighter and I felt something hard grow against my side. Realizing what it was, I instantly grew wet and my purring increased. Caleb leaned toward my head and whispered in my ear, "Unless you want to have sex right now in front of the whole pack, I suggest you stop moving and purring, and whatever you do, don't shift back to your human form,"
I stilled instantly, glancing around us. Large wolves of all shapes and colors surrounded us in a loose circle. The wolves had a mixture of what looked like awed, surprised, and even pissed expressions. Fear overwhelmed my body at the thought of so many wolves surrounding us. I leaned harder into Caleb, stupidly trying to hid myself.
My fear and desperation took over my actions. Without my permission, my body shifted back to my human form and I launched myself at Caleb. My limbs circled his body and I hid my face in his neck. Fearful wet tears ran down my face and on to Caleb's neck. He groaned in lust as soon as my body wrapped around his, but he immediately turned worried when he felt my tears.
Both his hands were under my butt holding me, so I was as close to him as possible and making sure I didn't fall. He removed one of his hands and ran it through my hair as he spoke. "It's okay, Akela. No one will hurt you," he said in a worried tone as his teal eyes stared into mine.
"And why wouldn't we, Caleb," Caleb's father said. I almost forgot he was there. I turned my head to look at him. My eyes locked with his and I growled.
"Mine!" Caleb yelled. His arms locked around my body and he started shaking again. A long growl echoed in his throat and his eyes closed. I did the only thing I could think of: I kissed Caleb right on his lips, giving away my first real kiss. Caleb immediately stopped shaking and opened his eyes to stare at me with lust.
A cough came from behind me, thankfully breaking Caleb's lust filled gaze. Caleb's eyes shifted to look at who the cough came from. He sighed and simply said, "She's my mate."
