Loss, it's the strangest thing.
You're surprised, it's hard to believe.
How could something like this happen so fast?
Needed more time, to say goodbye.
You're struck down before you have the chance to cry,
One moment they're there, the next they're gone.
Suddenly your house doesn't feel like home.
Can't help, but feel empty.
Yet you can still feel, the hole missing.
Suddenly, you start to break down.
You're sobbing your heart out on the ground.
Praying, to anyone and everyone,
To just bring them back home.
But not all wishes can be granted,
And people don't come back from the dead.
Death couldn't change his rules,
No matter how much you pled.
