In my eyes, heroes are everywhere.
They are our soldiers,
Our firefighters, our police.
But they are also the broken,
The ones that fight through so much. But my hero, he's none of those.
He's just someone who helps me, who saves me, time and time again.
He's my hero, but I don't think he even knows.
How many times he's saved me, how much he means to me.No, I'm not saying I have a crush,
I'm not saying that I'm in love,
He's just someone that makes me strong,
He's the one, who's kept me here so long. He's my hero,
My saving grace.
He's the only one who can pull me out of
Such a dark place. He's my hero
One of the few I really trust
He's my hero
The only one who knowsHe's been there for me through thick and thin
He promised to be there til the very end
But now, I'm feeling lost
I know that I would still help him, at any costBut he's not the one that's changed,
I guess I'm just simply not the same. But now I can't rely on him anymore,
I have to be stronger than that.
I have to be my own hero, I have to fight my own war.
