The War Against Apollyon

(Y/n) POV

I am at the ruins of an old cathedral in Ashfield, I tried activating my Aura and it doesn't work. Looks like I'm back to fighting to old fashioned way. I then hear grunts and moving of heavy objects, I move quietly to see who's moving. I get to the top of a hill and see some Blackstone soldiers moving food and weapons. I decide to get some answers and move ahead of the caravan and cut them off. I wait on the path until the soldiers see me and form a defensive perimeter around the wagons. One of the captains moves to the front and readies for combat.

(Y/n): Stop! There is no need for bloodshed, I will lower my weapons if you will!

The captain seems to ponder the situation and lays down his sword and tells the soldiers to stand down. I stab my weapon in the ground and slowly walk towards the group, the soldiers are still unsure of me.

Captain: What do you want Lawbringer?

(Y/n): Tell me, is Apollyon still in power?

Captain: Yes, recently several knights, us included, have begun to question her leadership.

(Y/n): She is a sadistic madwoman, who's only goal is to perpetuate war. I plan on stopping her, but I'll need help. *extends hand* Will you join me in the fight for peace?

The Captain thinks for a moment and with renewed determination, takes my arm in forearm handshake.

Captain: We will fight with you Lawbringer, till the very end.

(Y/n): Good, I know a place where we can start setting up and planning a rebellion. It's time to bring back the Iron Legion.

I lead the Knights to the ruined cathedral that has many easily defensible positions, so if Apollyon come looking, they're going to ringing the doorbell pretty loudly.

Over the course of the next few months, I have successfully rallied more and more Knights to our rebellion. We are also striking back against Blackstone caravans for information and supplies. On one raid, I even convinced Holden Cross and Stone to join us.

2 years later

I am sitting by myself on the cathedral balcony and look at a photo of Team RWBY and myself, smiling and having fun. They're honestly what's kept me going this whole time, I hope I can see them again, I am approached by Mercy.

(Y/n): What is it Mercy?

Mercy: Two Samurai have made it past our sentries, they appear to be scouts and making their way here. What are your orders?

(Y/n): Let them come, we need to find out what motivates them to come here.

Mercy: Yes sir.

After a while the two Samurai are spotted and they try to make a run for it when one of them got hit with an arrow. I approach the pair and as they try to get over a barricade and knock out the Orochi. The rest of the rebellion gather around but I stop them, because if they are here for Apollyon, they might make valuable allies. As the Orochi, who I recognized as the Emperor's champion, comes to, I try to keep this peaceful.

(Y/n):We are not your enemy, Champion.

Orochi: You executed the imperial family!

I turn to Holden and he hands me the Champion's katana, I in turn hand it back to it's owner.

(Y/n): We are no longer Blackstone's.

The Champion takes his sword and seems to stare for a moment. Suddenly, the Orochi gets up and thrusts his sword, to which I move right to avoid. Orochi swings right as I use my weapon to block, the Knights ready themselves but I stop them.

(Y/n): No! This is my fight!

After a quick scuffle, the Orochi proved why he was a champion and had me dead to rights, I waited for the blow, but it never came. The Orochi sheathes his sword and I get to my feet.

(Y/n): I was right. You are the Emperor's Champion. *picks up my weapon* Your army will find the path to the Blackstone Fortress clear. *points down the path*

The rest of the Knights stand down and let the Champion pass, Holden then asks.

Holden: What do we do now?

(Y/n): Prepare for battle. This day we end Apollyon's reign of terror.

The last preparations are made and the new Iron Legion moves out to Apollyon's fortress. We get there and the Samurai army are already laying siege and got the gate down, I order the catapults to open fire on the fortress itself and tell the foot soldiers.

(Y/n): Remember the Samurai are not our enemies, only Apollyon and all who stand with her! Today we end her reign of conflict and tyranny, not just for us, but for all who have suffered at her hands! This day Apollyon faces obliteration!

Knights: *WARCRY*

(Y/n): Knights, with me! For Ashfield! For Honor! RRAAAHHH!

The Knights charge through the gate taking down any Blackstone the refuses to surrender. I make my way up to the war room inside the fortress and take out several Blackstones. I then hear a blade skid across the ground to my feet, I recognize the blade and look across the room to see the Emperor's Champion facing off against Apollyon herself. I grab the sword and shout.

(Y/n): Champion!

I toss the Champion his sword and he continues to fight against Apollyon, while I try to keep other Blackstones away from their battle. After what felt like eternity, I rejoined my army and while the Blackstones were defeated, the Samurai were still not very trusting of us. I stopped my army from attacking and slowly approached the Kensei. Just then Apollyon's sword came down and stabbed into the ground, I look up and figure Apollyon must be defeated. I stab my weapon in the ground and show the Kensei I am not here to fight.

(Y/n): Apollyon is defeated, there is no need to fight anymore.

Ayu: *lowers her weapon* Maybe your right. There is no need to fight any longer. You are not Blackstones this makes you our allies.

(Y/n): I agree and I believe together we can build a brighter future. One without the need to fight for a way of life.

We did come to an understanding and over the next few months the leaders of each faction got together to talk about a peaceful future. I, however, was not amongst them, I have been fighting for too long and wished to return to Remnant and to my family. I left Holden and a Warden in charge of the Knights, I continued to search the world for people to help and conflicts to end. One day though, a familiar sound is heard and I gladly jumped through and found myself in the middle of another battle between Huntsman and the Grimm. Sigh, there's no place like home.
