I held the gun up, pointing it at the dark figure near the front entrance.

"Hands up," I yelled.

The man dropped the duffle bag and raised his hands over his head.

"Lights, F.R.I.D.A.Y.,"

The lights in the room lit up.

I sighed, lowering the gun and attaching it to my belt.

"Damn it, Steve, what is wrong with you?"

"How was I supposed to know you would come out and point a gun at me?" He took his hood off as he picked up his bag. "A gun? Do you know the type of people to want to break in here? A gun won't do anything."

Steve wrapped his arms around me.

I pulled back after a few moments. "I thought you were supposed to be here this morning."

"Yeah, Sharon changed her mind about coming."

"Sharon's here?"

As if on cue, the doors opened and the blonde S.H.I.E.L.D. agent walked in with a similar bag to Steve's.

"Hey, Layn." She smiled.

"Hey. Um, I'm gonna turn off the silent alarm. I'll see you guys in the morning? Bruce is gonna make pancakes."

Steve nodded.

I went back to the room after turning off the alarm and saw Peter sitting up in bed.

"What happened?" He asked, worried.

I took my weapons belt off and laid it on the desk. "It was just Steve."

"I thought he was supposed to be here earlier."

"Yeah, Sharon decided to come."

Peter sighed.

I took off my shirt, leaving me in a lace bralette and matching underwear. I laid down on the bed next to him and rested my head on his leg.

I looked up at him as he ran his fingers through my hair.

His eyes looked gold in the low light from the lamp on the bedside table. His hair was fluffy and wild, his curls fell over his eyes, telling me it was time for a haircut. His jaw was lined in a short stubble but I knew he'd shave in the morning, he hated the feeling of his mask over his stubble.

I smiled at him. "You're pretty,"

He laughed. "I thought I was supposed to tell you that." He laid back on the pillow.

I smirked as I turned over, laying my head on his stomach. "Can I tell you a secret?"

Peter nodded, pushing my hair behind my ear.

"I think I'm in love with you,"

Peter gasped, pretending to be surprised. "We've been together for 8 years and you only fall in love now?"

He smirked as I rolled my eyes.

"Love you, too, babe."

I moved to lay next to him, my head on the pillow.

Peter wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my shoulder. His bare chest against my skin felt warm, calming me.

I giggled, knowing he was watching me.

"What?"

"Nothing," I smiled.

"Am I not allowed to look at my beautiful wife?"

I opened my eyes and looked at him.

"Only if I can look at you,"

Peter smiled. "Anytime you want,"

I sat up and looked down at him. "Come on, we gotta get up. You have to help Bruce with his research thing and I have training with Steve and Nat."

"After breakfast, who says we have to be at breakfast?" He said,  grabbing my waist and pulling me closer to him.

I smiled, leaning down to kiss him. "My stomach,"

He sighed. "Fine," He got out of bed and went to the closet.

I went over and wrapped my arms around his waist, resting my head on his shoulder blade.

Peter took a blue t-shirt off a hanger.

I let go as he put it on.

After we had some clothes on, we went down to the dining area and found the table covered in platters.

Pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, and toast.

Bruce didn't do all this.

I sat down at the table across from Steve, Peter next to me across from Nat.

I grabbed a plate and filled it. "How've you been, Sharon?"

"Pretty good, how have you guys been?"

"We've been good," Peter replied.

"Peter got a promotion," I smiled, knowing he wouldn't say it himself.

"Where do you work again?" Nat asked him.

"Oscorp,"

"Oh, yeah, didn't your friend get you a job there?" Tony asked from the end of the table.

"He got me the interview, his dad owns the company."

"If you ever get bored, there's a spot open at Stark Industries," Pepper said as she and Morgan came in.

Peter smiled. "Thanks," She knew he wouldn't take up the offer but appreciated it.

After breakfast, I went back to the room and changed into my suit before heading to the training room.

When I got there, I put on my mask and watched the Stark logo pop up, telling me the AI was booting up.

The logo disappeared as the information loaded on the screen. Two squares popped up around Nat and Steve. A small window appeared with their S.H.I.E.L.D. files.

I tapped a button on my wrist and watched the information clear.

"Hello, Elayna," Harry said in my earpiece.

"Hey, set training mode,"

"Training mode enabled." A list of functions appeared on the scene, all disabled.

I unhooked my staff and set it on the table, along with my belt and wrist armor with the grapple mechanism.

I went over to Steve and Nat.

"You know what Fury told me the other day?" I asked the two.

"He wants you to train a team of new recruits?"

I looked at Nat.

"The six of us are Alpha team. You, Peter, Black Panther, Wanda, Ant-Man, and Vision are the Beta team. He wants you to start training the Gamma team."

"How did you know that?"

"I suggested you train them." She shrugged.

I sighed.
