I'm so happy my mom let us move to the country, away from the city. Too many vampires and demons to deal with, and I really want to meet a werewolf. My dad used to tell me stories about them, how they looked like normal wolves, but twice as large, and how they always stay in a pack and have eachothers backs. But the most facinating part is how when they find there mate, they never see any other girl the same way. But my dad said that werewolves don't come to the city, and that only a few vampires go to the country, like my aunt Mandy. She was bitten by a vampire when she was 18. She hated the city, and didn't want to kill people, so she only drank animal blood.
"Hey, Ayla. Can't you believe that mom is letting us move to the country?! Now I can challenge some werewolves at wrestling instead!" says my brother, Finn. He's a vampire too. We was bitten last year, but he didn't take it like other people. He went on a rampage, and we hadn't seen or heard from him for three months. When he came back, he told use that he only killed three people, and 20 animals. He wanted to be like aunt Mandy.
"Yeah, now I can meet some new friends, not like I had any or anything" I reply. I'm not a very socal person.
"Oh, now come on Ayla. I'm sure you'll make a bunch of friends" my mother says. She's never really seen any of my friends, because I only had one. Her name was Emily. But she was killed by a vampire two months ago. I went into depression and my mother decided that if was time for us to move. And now we've been driving for 8 hours. We entered the small town 10 minutes ago.
"Mom. I'm not depressed any more. That was 2 months ago" I say.
"I know sweetie, but I'm just worried about you and-"
"Mom! Your about to miss the house!" Finn exclaims.
"Oh! Sorry!" She says as she pulls in the drive way. "Here we are. Home sweet home!" She chants as she gets out of the car. I grab my bag and go to the trunk of the car to get my suit cases. I have the smallest one, because when we left, only a quarter of my clothes still fit me. I look at the house, and it's the only one on the block with yellow paint on it instead of white. The garage is pretty small, and the yard only has one small tree right in the middle. I walk into the house, and the first thing I see is the kitchen. I looks like it was from the 80's, and it probably is. I walk up the stairs and look into the first room. I see Fynn, and he just points to the other room down the hall. I walk into the room, and the look is actually cooler than I thought. The walls were dark purple, and the bed was turquoise, with white pillows.
"Do you like it?" My mother asks.
"Yeah, I love it" I reply
"We'll I knew purple and turquoise are your favourite colours, so..." she says.
"Thanks mom" I say
"You should get ready for bed, you have some unpacking to do tomorrow" she says. I look at the clock, and it read 10:46.
"Ok. Goodnight mom"
"Goodnight, sweetheart"
