"it's time to wake up, angel."

cartia king groaned as she dug her head further into her pillow, squinting as the sun burned her eyes.

"come on, princess. it's our first day, you don't want to miss the weather." another voice came.

"i'm up, i'm up." she insisted, sitting up and rubbing her eyes. she smiled at clint and tony who returned the gesture. "what time is it?"

"half eight. everyone's waiting for breakfast, we've got room service coming."

"ooh, i'm up. don't need to tell me twice." the men chuckled as their young soulmate stood up and stretched, roused by the thought of breakfast. she leaned back as tony tried to kiss her, avoiding his mouth. "i have morning breath, dimwit." she laughed.

"eh, so do i. no way i'm brushing my teeth before breakfast." he grabbed both sides of her face and playfully mushed his lips against hers.

"ah, how romantic." clint joked as they pulled away. he waited as they kissed properly before he countered his boyfriend's first actions and gently kissed his girlfriend. she giggled as he subconsciously grabbed her face too, pecking her lips several times before tony tutted behind them and remarked playfully.

"you two done yet? had your moment?"

"why, you getting turned on?" clint joked as he pulled away from cartia.

"don't get me started." he wraps his arms around clint's and cartia's hips, not caring that cartia still had a bedhead and her night clothes on, which just consisted of one of bruce's shirts.

"you guys go ahead, i'm just gonna freshen up a little. my face feels a bit weird."

"you sure? want us to wait for you?" clint checks.

"it's fine, and if breakfast's here you guys can start. i'll only be a few minutes."

"okay, baby."

cartia smiled at her soulmates as she moved into the en suite attached to the bedroom. closing the door behind her, she did her business on the toilet and moved over to the sink. washing her hands then moving on to splash her face with water. once done, she took a moment to stare at herself in the mirror. hickey-like bruises lined her neck and the top of her chest peaking out of the shirt, but that wasn't what she focused on.

minutes later, she emerged from the bathroom and didn't hesitate to rush to where she knew the stairs were, smelling the sweet aroma of a variety of breakfast foods wafting up from downstairs. a smile came to her face without her realisation at the sound of her soulmates' voices - the excitement of peter, the boom of thor, the sweet laughter of wanda as she heard something get dropped.

"morning, specimens." she joked as she walked into the large kitchen, boosting herself up onto the counter-top to watch as bucky poured many glasses of different liquids. he moved to her with a glass of milk, winking at her as he pulled it away before she could grab it; instead, leaning forward and puckering his lips for something so obvious. she jokingly rolled her eyes and connected their lips, snatching the milk out of his hand and taking massive gulps while staring at bucky's amused face.

"thirsty?" loki laughed as she downed nearly the whole thing.

"kinda. also just kinda like making bucky get me more, little bitchboy." she joked as he went to do exactly that, making everyone laugh.

"what did you just say, малышка?" he growled light-heartedly, handing the glass to peter to fill instead.

"you heard me." she tilted her head as he got to her, pulling her legs apart and standing between them; pelvis touching the edge of the counter, his face incredibly close to hers, their chests barely touching. he stared at her heatedly as she fought to hold eye contact, trying her hardest not to back down.

"say it." he reached his hand up and wrapped it round her neck, smirking as her eyes widened and she gulped. he applied slight pressure when she didn't answer, which brought her out of the thoughts in her head.

"i said nothing."

"that's what i thought." he winked as he grabbed her waist and lifted her off the counter, nudging her towards the table where the rest of the group sat - some of them watching with amused smiles, the rest already digging into their breakfast, though they hadn't missed the thing that just occurred.

"oh my god, is that a full english? score." she laughed as she put a bit of each food on her plate. "so, what are we doing today?"

three hours later, cartia laughed as she watched sam chase peter with a water gun. why they had brought a water gun to the beach she would never know, but she didn't put anything past her group of soulmates at this point.

she kept the towel wrapped around her as she licked the ice cream nat had brought her, her knees against her chest as she leant back on the redheaded woman. loki was sat beside her with a glass of lemonade, though she suspected he had a small amount of asgardian liquor in there as he appeared even more laid back than usual. she didn't mind of course, as long as he was having a good time. she blushed as he caught her eye and winked at her, watching her closely as he took a sip of his drink, looking back at the crystal blue waves.

"this is going to be the best 15 days of my life." she sighed happily.

"you bet it is, babygirl."
