WHO REALLY IS CARTIA KING?

by now, we're sure everyone knows who this little 18 year old from england is - she truly has become a household name like others in her biological and chosen family.

born on july 1st 1998, cartia was thrust into the spotlight as the fourth daughter of spencer king (actor and musician) and his wife molly king (neé edwards), who is also an actress. her parents kept their children away from the media as much as they could, covering their faces in public and never publicising photos of them to anyone other than family and friends, who also worked to not actively reveal the kids' identities. there were rare moments where we would see the young girls, such as on family holidays, and they were always treasured. now, we see throwback pictures from the family on their social media.

FAMILY

cartia is one of the middle children in her family, along with her younger brother. she has three older sisters, three younger brothers and another younger sister, making the total amount of king children a whopping eight kids. all of her siblings, bar the youngest three, have soulmates, who she actively calls her brothers and sisters also, as well as her best friend and his family.

heidi king - 27. heidi is the oldest of the family. her soulmate is 28 year old tommy jones, who has been in the family since the both of them were 10. the pair met at an induction day for secondary school in london, england.
charlotte king - 26. charlotte had a small role in abc's once upon a time as a young snow white, appearing in 4 episodes. she has two soulmates, 26 year old chris morgan and 25 year old alexis watson. they met in a similar way as charlotte's older sister heidi - just at the induction of a primary school at the ages of 3/4.
evie king - 20. evie was the one who most often appeared by her father's side at premieres, being described as the most 'outgoing' of the bunch. her soulmate is none other than 21 year old pietro maximoff - more commonly known as quicksilver - and though the exact circumstances haven't been revealed, we know they met less than a year ago while he was on a mission with his team - the avengers.
jordan king - 16. jordan is the oldest male child in the family, and is making quite a name for himself. he is soon to appear in a new show stranger things and the new remake of it. he met his soulmate, 15 year old emily carlson in september last year. the two haven't been together long, but we already ship it hard.
oscar king - 5. up until last month, oscar was the youngest of the king family. in the 11 years (and 3 days) between him and jordan, the family became much more popular and no longer hid behind the lense, therefore oscar's life has been documented since his birth. he didn't experience the same as his sister charlotte at a young age, and his soulmate is still unknown.
felix and imogen - newborn. the twins were born just last month and the family couldn't be happier. there aren't many photos so far that include their face, but we already know these babies are gorgeous like the rest of the family, and we can't say we aren't the least bit jealous of these lucky lucky children!

cartia's best friend is commonly mistaken for her brother, due to the close bond they share. sam brooks is 19, and has been a part of cartia's life since they were 4. his soulmate, aiden vega (18), and brother, sawyer brooks (13), are both also incredibly close to cartia and she has been known to refer to them as her brothers.

SOULMATES

though it feels like a lifetime ago, in reality, it hasn't actually been that long since cartia found her soulmates - even less time since it was announced. let's give a bit of a backstory, back in 2015, cartia started an instagram account following a certain group of people, under the alias 'cc'. she gained a fair amount of followers - close to 12k - before september of 2016. she tended to stick to herself online, though she interacted with her fans often, talking about their love for the group of people she posted about. it wasn't until one of the members of that group noticed her that she started gaining more and more popularity. the moment natasha romanoff commented on her post, her follower number raised dramatically.

that's right, the posts were about none other than the avengers. it didn't take long for the rest of the team to find cartia's account, and though we don't know the exact details, we do know that there were more and more interactions in front of our very eyes, and before we know it, she was getting re-introduced as their new-found soulmate.

cartia is now most commonly known as the 12th soulmate in the world's best known soulmate group. though, cartia decided nobody would take anything away from her and wanted to make her own name for herself. she now has nearly 500k followers on instagram - a number that's rising dramatically by the minute - on her personal account (@queencartia) and nearly 400k on her 'thirst' account (@avengersbitch)

CAREER

even though she's still only 18 years old, cartia has rocketed in her career already. on monday, netflix released their adaptation of lemony snicket's 'a series of unfortunate events' which stars cartia as the main characters, violet baudelaire, along with her best friend (sam brooks) as klaus. it was also confirmed that she will star in upcoming film 'nine lives' with kevin spacey as the daughter of kevin spacey and jennifer garner; and we can only assume and hope that she will revisit her role as violet in the next season of asoue.
