"Happy birthday Nix!" bati ng mga tao sa loob. Ni hindi pa ako tuluyang nakapasok sa club. They were enjoying the beat of the disc jockey.
"Thank you!" tanging nasabi ko sa lahat ng bumati. I saw some familiar faces from school and some popular personalities. They were holding a bottle of hard drinks.
My friends are now holding both my arms. Iginiya nila ako sa isang couch which is the empty one. Inilibot ko ang aking paningin hoping to see my not so awesome boyfriend. Makakatikim talaga sa akin ang lalaking yun kapag hindi dumating.
My friends threw a party for me after the formal celebration of my birthday. Agad na kaming dumiretso sa club na ni-book ni Shera.
"Nixsha! Shot!" sabay bigay ng tequila sa akin ng isang kakilala.
"Go Nixy!" cheer ng mga kaibigan ko kaya hindi na ako nagdalawang isip at nilagok ito. Naghiyawan sila at agad nagtawag ng serbidora si Yeshera upang um-order ng maiinom.
"Hard drinks tayo kahit ngayon lang!" sigaw ni Athena na sobrang hyper. Halata sa mukha na nasisiyahan sa paligid. Sumang-ayon naman si Yeshera. Ramleighn and Racka just rolled their eyes.
We took a picture when Yeshera's hard liquor came. I doubt kung mauubos ba namin lahat ng ito, to think that Ram and Racka don't drink.
"Guys! Come here! You can join our table!" Yeshera invited some guests.
"Happy birthday Nixsha!" bati ng mga ito pagkalapit sa amin.
"Thanks!" sagot ko. I don't know them personally. It was Yeshera's acquaintances.
"Girls, these are Mica, Sean, Vin and....." huminto si Yeshera sa pagpapakilala when she spotted someone. "Noah! Come over here!" sigaw niya sa isa pang kakilala. The so-called Noah waves his hand and walk towards our direction.
Isa-isa kaming nagpakilala sa mga inimbitahan ni Shera na humalo sa aming grupo though hindi na kailangan kasi kilala na nila kami but then out of curtsy we did.
"Oh My! Where did you meet that lad? So hot!" impit na tili ni Ramleighn.
"Just somewhere down the road." Shera answered while grinning.
"Seryoso nga kasi." Ram's now pouting. Yeshera was about to answer when that Noah guy came.
"Thanks for inviting!" saad nito kay Shera.
"No worries! These are my friends by the way."
"I'm Athena."
"Racka here."
"Hi! I'm Ramleighn."
"Nixsha." sabi ko.
"Pleasure to meet you! Happy birthday Nixsha." bati nito sabay ngiti. Well, he's cute. A boyish type.
"Thanks. Go, take your seat as you please." sabi ko,
"Hmm, can I take that sit beside you?" nakangiti niyang turan, aba malandi rin ang isang to.
"Well,'' naputol ang sasabihin ko sana ng may magsalita.
"Sorry, but you can't." malamig nitong sagot,
"D!" my friends exclaimed,
"Buti umabot ka, dear cousin. May irereto pa naman sana ako kung hindi ka makakarating tonight." natatawang sabi ni Yeshera,
