I lifted my head away from Steve's shoulder. And grabbed his hand scared of the yelling. Steve ran down the street to the Curtis' house. As he did I felt his grip from my hand loosen. " Steve wait!" I begin to run after him. For some reason I felt sick to my stomach. I stopped to get some air. As I did I saw Steve go into the house.
My vision got blurry. I couldn't see much. It felt like forever till I could make out someone coming out of the house. For some reason I really felt stressed and over myself. I couldn't see, I couldn't speak, and I could barely stand. I felt someone near me and couldn't stand much longer. I lowered myself in a kneeling position. After that it went black.
I felt someone's hand on my face. With my eyes still closed I moved my head away from it. But then I opened my eyes. I'm in the Curtis' house with myself laying across Dally's lap. I realize what happened earlier so I say. " what the hell happened? " I see Soda across the room in a chair but silent looking at the ground. I look around the room and look at Steve, and Ponyboy on the couch.
Ponyboy replied. " you had one of your black-outs again. " I get up and sit up right. " Brodi are you okay?" I answer back to Dally. " yeah" I place my hand on my head while having a headache. "But that's not what i mean" I begin to get mad as I glance over at Soda " what happened?!" Everybody was staring at me. And I felt like an idiot.
Steve stood up and then took my wrist taking me outside of the house through the front door. Once we are outside Steve begins to talk. " Brodi, look i-" I interrupt Steve while still being confused and angry. " what's wrong with Soda? Why is he acting like this! What did you d-" Steve yells over me.
"Brodi listen to me!" I became nervous and felt the need to hold back any words. " Yes something happened, but it doesn't involve you. " I scan Steve's body language. I knew Soda did something bad. " what did he do...?"
