I look up and there he is.

Trevor smiles, looking down at me.

"Go away Asshole..."

"What a greeting," he teases. I roll my eyes while Keith, Xavier, and Zayne approach the table.

"If you don't leave now, I'll hit you harder than I hit Xavier."

Xavier flinches at the thought and Zayne laughs. Trevor looks at Xavier and now that he's sitting in front of me I can tell that his nose is definitely broken.

"How could I believe a sweetheart like you did that?" He asks smirking.

Cole isn't liking this at all. The muscles in his jaw tense up as he grinds his teeth.

"You're too good to be hanging out with these losers."

Cole stands up and slams his hands down on the table.

"Get lost or I'll punch your teeth down the back of your fucking throat."

All three of the boys watched in amusement. A startled Trevor walks away, glancing over his shoulder to make sure Cole wasn't following him. If looks could kill, Trevor might be dead.
Cole sits back down and the rest of his gang joins us one at a time.

"Cole, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you're really into little Ms. Emaline over here," Keith says.

"Shut up,"

"You gonna eat something babe, or are you gonna sit and starve?" Mitch asks, putting all eyes on me.

"Hey man, be careful or you'll end up like Xavier!" Scott warns.

Sam breaks out into laughter and almost spits out his chocolate milk. I look over at Xavier.

"Sorry."

He gives a soft, "I deserved it."

"He won't do it again that's for sure!"

"None of you are gonna do anything like that again..."  Cole says. Keith wiggles his eyebrows, commenting on his first statement.

"I was wrong you're not into her, you're in love with her."

Cole punches him in the arm as a warning and everyone laughs.

"Yeah, I think I'll go get some food..." I announce.

Cole nods and directs his attention to Scott, who suddenly had a story to tell. I bring back my tray and only eat the apple. The rest of my lunch is devoured by the boys at the table. After I was done eating the apple, I took my tray up. I dump the remaining food into the garbage, turn around, and bump into Trevor.

He wanted that to happen.

"What the hell do you-"

"You're too sweet to be with them," he cuts me off. He grabs my wrist when I try to walk away so I spin around to face him.

"I swear to God, Trevor, if you don't let go of me I will put you in a fucking hospital and you won't come back."

The cafeteria goes silent and Tre laughs.

"Sure you will..."

He grabs my waist, attempting to pull me closer. I slam my fist into his gut.

"I'm so tired of people like you."

I am tired of this shit. Tired of being mad, being ignored, being harassed. I'm sick of being so nice, so sweet, so perfect. I want to stop trying to be good.

I could've stopped there, but I don't. He doubles over in pain. I take his head and introduce it to my knee. People are cheering, screaming, laughing. I walk away as he falls on the floor, just like Xavier did.

Cole meets me halfway back to the table and takes my hand in his. He walks me out of the cafeteria and he pulls me into the empty gymnasium. Nobody notices that we left, and I could still faintly hear them laughing and yelling about what I did to Trevor.

For a moment, Cole just looks at me with his bright violet eyes. But I was the one to snap. Something about him makes me go crazy. Maybe it's because I'm angry and I feel light-headed with all this adrenaline in me. But thoughts start to race through my head, the feeling stronger this time.

I want him.
