The bell rings and the hell I was living in unmasks itself. The worst part about this school is location. Neighbors I used to have, shot in drive-bys. Friends I used to know; raped and kidnapped. This city is not a friendly place. Neither are the people who live here.
I was the last one out of the classroom and was happy that Trevor disappeared until I realized, I was the last one out of the room.
Big mistake.
"Hey, Emma!"
"It's Emaline..."
"More like Emma-loser!"
The voices kept coming, trying to shoot me down and others trying to pick me up.
You know what I mean...
Someone pushes me, throwing me against the wall. This kind of thing happens too often due to the lack of cameras in the hall. I know about these guys, they aren't good news.
Keith, Scott, Xavier, Sam, Zayne, Mitch and- Lord Almighty, who the hell was he?
There was one guy I didn't recognize. He was standing against the wall opposite from the one I was shoved into. Arms crossed over his chest, and damn, he is perfect. His raven black hair, kind of long, but sexy as hell. He's wearing a tight black t-shirt and is obviously muscular. I was afraid if he flexed, the shirt would rip. It wasn't just that, his eyes are what I love the most. They're a deep, vibrant, violet color. He looks at me and it freezes me.
The voices fade and all I can see is him.
I need him.
He watches his group of guys harass me. Obviously, he's the one who pulls the strings. I look away and notice Xavier twirling a strand of my hair around his finger. When I realize he is talking, I suddenly wish I could kill him.
Looks like Trevor isn't the only pig in this school. These guys are by far the worst.
He brushes his fingers across my cheek and I turn my head, pulling away from him.
"Leave me alone. This is the only time I'll tell you."
Xavier laughs and glares at me with amusement.
"Or what?"
" You gonna tell someone? A teacher? Your daddy?" Keith adds in a childish voice.
They have no idea who they're messing with.
"I don't want to hurt you," I growl.
Zayne snickers, "Careful babe, you'll be the one that gets hurt..."
He has a scar on the left side of his mouth that causes his smile to be more of a smirk. Xavier sighs, putting his mouth close to my ear.
"I bet you'd look a lot hotter if you didn't dress like a librarian."
"Maybe we should take her clothes off and find out..." Sam says.
Why is there no one here to stop this?
Xavier raises his eyebrows in agreement. He puts his hands on my waist and starts to slide them under my shirt.
I speak calmly, "I didn't want to do this... but you left me no choice..."
