The proposal

Jo's pov

I wake up and notice that Hero is not in bed with me so I get up to see where he went throwing his t shirt on and walking to the kitchen I hear Mercy on the phone with someone saying "you lot are all idiots." She looks at me and holds up a finger for me to wait a second and then says "we'll talk to him soon ok bye." And then she hangs up. "So whose an idiot?" I ask her smirking. "Fucking Felix and his friends" she says. "So where's Hero today?" She asks me. "Oh he isn't here? He must of had an early photoshoot then" I tell her grabbing a cup of coffee. "Photoshoot on a Sunday that's odd" she says. "Why is it odd" I ask her feeling nervous that Hero has lied to me about this photoshoot now. "Oh nothing don't get all vexed about it" she says laughing. "Vexed?" I ask her. "Yeah it means annoyed you really need to freshen up your Brit slang there Jo" she says laughing again. We eat some breakfast and she asks me to spend the day with her so we decide to take Diesel for a walk to the park and have lunch together. I have no idea when Hero will be home he never even said goodbye this morning before he left. Deciding that I need to live my life and not focus my every thought on what Hero is doing I get dressed in a little blue dress and throw a jean jacket over it in case it gets cooler out. I head out with Mercy and we laugh and talk all the way to the park. Once there we sit and watch the dogs running and playing. A familiar face catches my eye and I look away hoping he doesn't see us. "Hey Mercy and Jo" Jack says running over to us. "Oh hey Jack why don't you kotch with us" Mercy says. He sits down and starts talking about how he was supposed to meet up with the boys soon but there will be so many heads he's debating if they really need him or not. All of a sudden Jack's phone beeps he looks down at it and says "shit Hero is throwing a fit he needs all of us boys there I guess." "He needs all of his friends for a photoshoot?" I ask curiously. "Photoshoot?" Jack says looking between me and Mercy. "You know what Jack don't sweat it not your fault your boy is a fucking liar." I say getting up to leave. I storm out the park and head home not even realizing if Mercy and Diesel are behind me. When I get to the house I go to my room and lock my bedroom door. I immediately start crying. I can't fucking believe how nice and sweet he is to me when we are alone and then around his boys he lies to me and says he has a photoshoot when he's probably having a damn day party with them and all their whores. All of a sudden I get a beep looking at my phone I see Hero's face showing he sent a text message.

Hero 🚀: Hey love sorry I had to run out so fast this morning. You looked so peaceful I didn't have the heart to wake you. Photoshoot should be over soon how about I pick you up for dinner? Love you baby girl xo H.

Jo: All good have fun at your shoot I'm good with dinner I'm feeling sickie.

Hero🚀: What babe no I'm heading home now then to take care of you. And why no love you back to me?

Jo: Seriously Hero just stop ok. Just have fun with your boys like I should have said since there was no photoshoot. Thank Jack for me btw at least he's honest to me.

Hero's pov

I fucking woke at the crack of dawn calling my agent and asking her to send over the list of all the 2 bedroom flats in my price range. I decided Felix moving in would help with bills and if Jo says no at least I won't be alone with my misery. I finally found the perfect one after looking at a dozen different places with Felix he was hiding in a corner talking on his phone. That's weird he never hides from me when he's on the phone. Must be a girl he really likes I think chuckling to myself. If someone told me a few months back I'd be whipped for some girl I'd probably laugh in their face and then punch them for good measure and here I am about to rent my first flat so I can convince my Australian goddess to move in with me. The place is perfect it has a master bedroom that is upstairs with it's own bathroom attached. Then another bathroom in the hallway leading downstairs and a decent sized bedroom on the bottom floor with a small half bathroom attached just a toilet and sink in that one. The kitchen is a decent size all stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The living room is made out of brick and has the most beautiful fire place. My agent hooked me up with some amazing deals and started having the furniture delivered as soon as I had signed the lease and paid my first months rent and deposit. I decide to call all my bruv's and get there help I want this place ready by tonight. After Morgz, Valand, Ollie, Ham and Age get here they start in on the digs teasing me. "Oh shit FT found a peng ting to wife up I'm so proud" Morgz says waving his hands in front of his face like he's about to cry. "Oi fuck off wanker" I say punching him in the arm. "No for real FT she have any hot Aussie friends she could hook me up with" Valand asks. "Not sure man haven't met any of her friends but I doubt they look as good as her" I say teasing him. Felix comes walking in and says "Jack's on his way he bumped into Jo and Mercy at the park and they were chilling." Why the fuck is Jack with my girl. I thought we squashed this shit. I decide to text Jo to see what she's up to and if she lies about it. After our text exchange I am not sure what the fuck I'm supposed to do. As soon as I decide to say fuck it and run out the door to go get Jo in walks Jack. "I'm pretty fucking vexed with how you can switch up on me like that. We all know you've been trying to Jack up Jo since she got here yeah right init. Your name suits you perfectly might I add" I tell him throwing venom in my voice. "Listen you fucking kretin your the one who lied about a damn photoshoot maybe you should of filled your boys in on that particular part of your plan. Not my fault Jo is smart and knew you were lying." He says throwing his hands up in the air. "Fuck can't you all see how much I love her I bought a damn flat so we could be together" I yell. "Listen bruv don't be dumb and let her sit at home worrying that your out being the fuck boy you were. We will fix everything up and surprise you guys when you get back here" Morgz says pulling me in for a bro hug. "Should we invite Mercy?" Felix asks me. "Yeah bruv sounds good see you soon hopefully with my girl." I say leaving the flat. When I get back to my parents flat I walk in and see Mercy pacing back and forth like a mad woman. "Younger what's wrong?" I ask her trying to give her a hug but she pushes me away saying "you are a massive kretin for lying to Jo." She looks like she's been crying too. "Why are you so upset I'll fix everything with Jo" I tell her. "She's packing her bags Hero she said she can't live like this and called her mum and dad to leave earlier" she says crying. What no this can't be happening. I've busted my ass so long today to make a yard for her. "Where is she?" I say holding the tears back from spilling out my eyes. But my fucking heart is breaking just thinking of this girl leaving me. I rush to Jo's door just as she is coming out with her suitcases. She doesn't even look up as she bumps into me "oh look who it is and what brings you here after what's that word you Brits use oh that's right linked up you come crawling back to me. Jokes on you I'm fucking done." She says with venom in her voice. "Jo please listen to me I haven't linked up with anyone since you I swear." I plead to her. "It's ok Hero I put to much faith in you and that's my own damn fault let's just move on. I'm going home and you can have a fun life of freedom" she says trying to drag her suitcases out the door. Shit what do I say to change her mind and to get her to come with me to the flat I got for us? Thank God Mercy says "please Jo at least let us give you a ride to Heathrow and say goodbye." "Fine but I'll ride in the back" she says I grab her luggage and she just glares at me and let's me throw it in the boot. As we are driving towards my new flat I hear Jo say "where are we the airport is the other way I have a flight to catch." "Just got to make a quick stop love" I say which makes her mad and she says "it better be fast and don't ever call me love again."
