This is NOT 104 years later!
It's the PRESENT."Remember this Lian, no matter how thing may seem to change, never forget who you are."
Lian's POV:
"I'm not coming to your crazy training anymore!" I beamed in anger. "I am a normal child who needs to learn how to have fun! Not train and study all day!" I was sick of his lightning bolts, fire bending tiers and forms. I was sick of not being able to live my childhood. I was sick of being treated like an only child while I had two siblings! I was sick of maps and colony names and history and battle strategies. I wanted to be a kid I should have been.I turned on my heels and headed to the door. Then I heard Father saying, "Fine! If you don't want to be a part of my family, then you are NOT!" and a blinding pain shot through my back that seemed to last forever.
I shot up from my sleeping bag screaming in horror. Even 4 years later, ever since the *incident* I was still having nightmares. They usually visited me once or twice a week. I didn't know what caused them. I was pretty sure that I was done being scared of him. Then what was the problem? Back at the Southern Air Temple, the monks tried everything they could to help me but it was no use. I didn't know what to do about my nightmares and I knew I couldn't continue like this. I had to sort this out.
I got ripped away from my thoughts by Katara's voice. "Lian, oh great! You're awake. The village is waiting to meet you two." she said.
"Put some clothes on and wake up Aang." First, I couldn't figure out where I was, then yesterday's events came rushing into my mind.
I nodded my head and looked around my surroundings. We were in a small cabin-like area except the walls seemed to be made of ice. Plus there were dead animal pelts hanging in the walls which I gagged. 'I must be in one of the igloos with Aang in Katara and Sokka's village' I thought. Then I looked at myself. I was still wearing my air nomad pants but I didn't have my yellow top and orange cape on. Yep, I still had my arrows and I could still feel the scar on my back and on my right foot. So everything was normal as it could be.
I quickly got dressed so I wouldn't face the Southern cold half-naked. Then ran to Aang's side but as soon as I touched him, he shot up from his sleeping bag with a panicked look on his face.
"Nightmares?" I questioned. He nodded. "Don't worry, I still have them too. Though, you don't usually get them, what was it about?" I questioned. "The storm," was all he said and it was enough.
Then Katara stormed into our igloo and grabbed my and now dressed Aang's arm and half dragged us out excitedly. We barely had time to grab our gliders before we were out in the cold. Thank to spirits I had my airbending so I could heat the air around me into a temperature that I wouldn't freeze to death.
While I was being dragged by Katara, I saw Sokka sharpening his boomerang so I waved at him. He just simply smiled.Katara lead us to what looked like to be the center of the small village and introduced us. "Aang, Lian this is the entire village. The entire village, these are Aang and Lian."
"Hi!" I waved my hand and Aang bowed at them respectfully. But the crowd just took a step back. Aang
seemed to notice it too because he leaned towards Katara and said"Umm... why are they looking at us like that? Did Appa sneeze on us again?"Instead of Katara, an old woman answered his question. "No one has seen an airbender in a hundred years. We thought they were extinct. Until my granddaughter and grandson found you two."
