CHAPTER 98

Arnav had tried sleeping with Khushi in his arms sleeping soundly but he couldn't sleep as Khushi's past was bothering him and it was hurting him to know Khushi had so many insecurities and pain hidden inside her heart that she would never tell anyone!!

So he went to his pool side when he went back to the words of Khushi after listening to her dads affair and moms words about her birth.....

FLASHBACK 3

DR SARITA: Then what happened Khushi??did you speak about it to your parents or anyone??

Khushi: No I did not tell them anything as I was scared of their answers nor i could tell about my dad and mom to anyone as they would think low about my parents but my cousin Sohan somehow came to know that something was bothering me so he asked me even mom tried and dad but I did not tell them anything and that was the time when I got a proposal from Sharada aunty...for Vidyut!!

DR SARITA: Then what did you tell???you agreed??

Khushi :No i did not...by this time I had lost hope and trust in marriage or love as my parents whom I had imagined as perfect couple was nothing but a big lie...I had decided that I would never marry anyone not able to bear a heartbreak but it all changed as my dad got a heart attack!!

DR SARITA: Heart attack??what happened suddenly that caused a heart attack??

Arnav was also very eager to know what had happened as Sohan had told him because of her dad's heart attack Khushi had agreed for marriage...

Khushi : It all happened one day when mom and dad were adamant on knowing the reason why I was behaving so weirdly these days and why i was rejecting the proposal and not even considering it...

FLASHBACK 4

GARIMA AND SHASHI WERE IN THE HALL WHEN KHUSHI RETURNS FROM COLLEGE

Garima(angrily):Come here Khushi we have to speak to you...

Khushi just comes and sits on the sofa....

Shashi: Why are you not agreeing for marriage beta?they are from good family and they don't have any problem with you studying or writing UPSC exams at least tell us the reason!!

Khushi fisted her hands trying to control the anger bubbling inside her listening to her dad's words speaking about marriage...

Garima(angrily):Haan...tell us Khushi Sharada ji is calling us daily to know whether its a yes or no from our side!!

Khushi :(angrily)Then tell them its a NO!!not now nor never!!

Garima(angrily):What are you saying??

Khushi(shouts) :I am not marrying anyone in my life!!!

GARIMA AND SHASHI STOOD UP FROM THEIR PLACES AFTER SEEING KHUSHI SHOUTING FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FRONT OF THEM!!

Shashi(confused):What are you saying Khushi??

Khushi(sternly):I am saying whatever you have heard!!

Garima(angrily):Khushi watch your tone!!you are speaking with your dad!!

Khushi(sternly): I am saying truth and my decision !!what is there in it??I am going to my room!!

Khushi turns to move towards her room when her Shashi stops her holding her hand from behind...making her look back at him

Shashi(confused):What is wrong with you Khushi??why are you behaving rudely and I have never seen you talking with us properly nor having food these days..what is bothering you beta??I am not asking about marriage but there is something else that is bothering you!!and why are you saying you won't even marry anyone you never had these ideas..in fact you always told you will find yourself a prince..tell us beta what happened!!
